The BFYTW Boys are back with some Classic BFYTW Games

Game 1 - Broken Headlines

 I've got three headlines with the pertinent words redacted out, all our players need to do is fill in the blanks. Funny answers get a point, but you can also get a point by being close enough to the correct headline. Most points after three headlines wins and gets one episode point.

Game 2 - The Cost is Correct

I've got three items that recently went up for auction, and our players will bid until they hear 'final bids' - once they place those bids, the player who is closest to the final auction or sale price without going over wins the listing. First player to win two listings wins the game and gets two episode points.

Game 3 - Speed Run

Lara Croft VS Claire Redfield - who would I rather have as a beta reader for my next novel?

Mushroom Kingdom VS Green Hill Zone - which would be a better place to take a Sunday drive?

Ezio Auditore (from Assassin's Creed) VS Agent 47 (from Hitman) - who would I be more interested in building a computer for/themed around?

Angel (from Buffy) VS Snake (from Metal Gear) - who would I be more likely to have a heart-to-heart about my feelings with?

Sarah Michelle Gellar VS Alyson Hannigan - who would be more fun to design a game with?

This week the boys are back to playing some classic BFYTW Games for pointless points.

Game 1 - Broken Headlines

I've got three news stories with the important words redacted from their headlines, all our players have to do is fill in the blanks - you'll get a point for making me laugh, but you can also get a point if you're reasonably close to the correct headline, so play it however you like.

Game 2 - Pitch Me Baby One More Time

May 22nd is National Solitaire Day, and aside from recently experiencing the joy of watching the waterfall of cards from beating Solitaire on Windows 98, I think it's about time we spice the old game up. I want you to pitch me a solitaire-themed book, video game, tv show, or movie, and here's the kicker - I want it to be sexy. I'm not talking about sexual solitaire, so please leave masturbation out of your pitches, but this needs to be enticing on every level. Most exciting pitch wins.

Game 3 - No More Bastards

It's our favorite gentleperson's game of naming names and then disqualifying names, and last man standing wins.

This week we are joined by entertainer and friend of the show Crunchie!!

We play 3 games in a fun 3-way.

Game 1 - The Cost is Correct

I'll give our players five items to take turns bidding on, players will continue bidding until all players have gone over, or all players have decided to freeze their bids. I'll give a "Final Bids" call when players are close to the retail price, but depending on the bidding, it's possible a maximum of one player will have gone over when Final Bids is called.

Game 2 - Being Stevied

Stevie's prepared a game, so we'll swap places and he'll host while I play for him. Who knows what this will be about, but try not to get Stevied too much.

Game 3 - Make It Worse

Our players will take a thing and take turns making it incrementally worse, following three rules, one, your worsening must always be worse than the worsening before yours, two, no repetition or iteration is allowed, and three, low-hanging fruit like Nazis or pedophilia are not allowed, because ick. This is a game all about how creative you can be, so get creative as heck and make it worse!

I tossed around several ideas, I considered doing a Metal music episode, but we've just done a music ep, and I thought "what else could we jam with Mexi about", and given that I just had a celebratory (and masturbatory) Thane audiobook episode, let's take me down a peg and make fun of the videos we all made together fifteen years ago. And along the way, we'll share a little love for the first fan Pantsless Shorts ever had who wasn't family or friends and his OUTSTANDING album and single release.

Game 1 - ROAST BATTLEI'll bring up five (I will NOT use the term 'classic') Pantsless Shorts videos we made together, and we'll talk about what it was like to make them, and I'll give my players the opportunity to roast the video. If your savage roast gets a laugh out of me, you earn a point for that video. Players keep their points into the remaining games.

Game 2 - PITCH ME BABY ONE MORE TIMEI'm not going to resurrect Pantsless Shorts. But if I did, what video do you wish we had made? I want each player to pitch me either a Pantsless Shorts sketch, or a Save Files video about a video game, series, or system, or an It's Stevie episode. Instead of choosing the best like usual, I'll give each pitch a score from 1-5 points.

Game 3 - PANTSLESS SHORTS, LOADING READY RUN, OR SOMETHING ELSE?Pantsless Shorts was heavily inspired by early internet sketch comedy troupe Loading Ready Run, but can our players tell the difference? I've got ten lines, and all our players have to do is tell me, is that line from a Pantsless Shorts video, a Loading Ready Run video, or a third option? The third option will be different for every line. After all ten lines, the player with the most points gained over the course of the episode will be declared the winner.
