Because I Said So: A fatherhood podcast Dadnation

It's been a month since our last episode, and it's been a pretty rough month. It's a small panel this week but the entire episode is a laundry list of things that have gone wrong in dadhood since our last episode. Complaints about car accidents, weather, moving, death, religion, and pool tables. Oh, and a little about being a dad, too.

New guy Trent joins old-schoolers Tim and Jason for this episode of Because I Said So. We discuss bullying advice, tactical kilts, terrible MTV reality shows, conspiracy theory books, 3rd shift working, single-dadding, part-time parenting and more on this action-packed show. We take another few questions from teenagers instead of dads, dishing out advice we wish we would've heard as youth. Real-life questions from real-life dads who have made their mistakes in life. We also talk about our childhoods can impact decisions we make as dads today. We get into some deep topics but sprinkle in lots of fart jokes, too. We can't be too serious up in here.

We're joined by new dad Kevin this week to see what kind of insight a dad of only 2 months has to offer. Is advice from such a new dad really valuable anyway? This week's dadvice comes from the perspective of the kids rather than from the dads, and using that as a springboard we deep dive into relationships with our own dads and how they impact our parenting styles today.

As parents, we obviously don't sleep in the newborn phase. As our kids grow, so do our concerns and we never end up sleeping again. We nearly got a brand-new dad to guest and we spend the remainder of the show pretending he's here and giving dadvice to someone not around to listen to it.



We talk heavy dad topics this time around, like the important of a work ethic, attitudes towards winning and losing, and beating your kid at games. We hand out advice for dads and of course our parenting wins and losses of this week.
