A common trope in the LDS community is that Former members can leave everything they once firmly believed and held dear, but they just can't seem to leave it alone. For these members it confirms the validity of the underlying truths of their gospel.
The leaders of the church wearing latter-day masques of warmth and love does not entitle us to forget what their religious doctrines and policies are like when they think they can get away with it; current and generational.
