Legendary Pittsburgh Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau joins the "Bleav in Steelers" show to discuss his new book "Legendary."

The book is due out on July 9. LeBeau's book focuses on what made the Pittsburgh Steelers' 2008 defense legendary.

"Bleav in Steelers" co-host Ike Taylor played 11 of his 12 NFL seasons with LeBeau, who was the Steelers' defensive coordinator from 2004-2014.

LeBeau discussed his career, 14 years as a Hall of Fame cornerback and 45 years as a legendary coach. He discussed how he used his knowledge as a player to coach.

Taylor and LeBeau shared their Steelers memories. It includes winning Super Bowl XL and Super Bowl XLIII. He also shared what it was like coaching Taylor.

LeBeau also shared what made the fire-zone blitz defensive scheme so effective.

Taylor explains why the Steelers players had so much respect for LeBeau.

"Bleav in Steelers" co-host Mark Bergin asks LeBeau whether he tried to get Taylor or Troy Polamalu to play for him at the end of their careers. LeBeau finished his coaching career as a defensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans.

On June 22, 2020, Deion Sanders appeared as a guest on the "Bleav in Steelers" show with Ike Taylor and Mark Bergin.

Sanders discussed living "in the country" in Texas, and what he did for Father's Day.

The guys also ask "Prime Time" how he was able to play in the NFL and MLB at the same time. They ask why there aren't more two-sport athletes.

The interview took place before Sanders accepted the Jackson State or Colorado head coaching positions.

Sanders discussed what it was like coaching his son, Shedeur Sanders, at the high school level. He also shared how Shedeur Sanders scheduled a morning workout with Tom Brady.

Sanders also shared how his son drained his family lake, his memories from the 1989 NFL Combine and what it was like playing against Jerry Rice.

"Bleav in Steelers" host Mark Bergin discusses the Pittsburgh Steelers giving head coach Mike Tomlin a contract extension.

Tomlin, 52, is now under contract through the 2027 season. He is entering his 18th season with the Steelers and has yet to have a losing season.

Bergin explains how Tomlin has been among the NFL's best head coaches despite the Steelers' last playoff win in January 2017.

Bergin compares Tomlin to Steelers legend Chuck Noll and with New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

Bergin also wonders whether the Steelers will end their five-game playoff losing streak and whether this is the last contract extension Tomlin signs with the Steelers.

"Bleav in Steelers" host Mark Bergin shares his thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers signing cornerback Cam Sutton.

The Detroit Lions released Sutton, 29, after authorities in Florida issued an arrest warrant for Sutton, who faced a domestic violence charge. Sutton entered a pretrial diversion program.

Sutton is only due to make $1.2 million from the Steelers, the team he played for, for the first six seasons of his career.

Bergin also discusses the Steelers setting their dates for training camp in Latrobe at Saint Vincent College. It comes as the Steelers start minicamp on Tuesday.

Last, Bergin shares his thoughts on cornerback Steven Nelson announcing his retirement after nine seasons in the NFL.

"Bleav in Steelers" hosts Ike Taylor and Mark Bergin discuss the Pittsburgh Steelers holding minicamp from June 11-13.

Taylor will be there as new quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields compete to become the team's starter.

The guys discuss how they think second-year players Keeanu Benton, Joey Porter Jr. and Nick Herbig will make a big jump in 2024.


Taylor shares his thoughts about Pittsburgh hosting the 2026 NFL Draft.

The guys also talk about Russell Wilson joining Zac Brown Band on stage at Acrisure Stadium. It was part of the Kenny Chesney concert in Pittsburgh.


Taylor also shared what it was like playing in the Resilience Bowl alongside former teammates Steelers legends Troy Polamalu, Ben Roethlisberger and James Harrison. The proceeds for the event went to the Neighborhood Resilience Project.

NFL Vice President of Event Strategy and Integration Matthew Shapiro discusses how Pittsburgh landed the opportunity to host the 2026 NFL Draft.

Shapiro shares how the NFL has traveled throughout the country to other cities for the draft, including Chicago, Philadelphia, Nashville and others.

Shapiro also talked about how the NFL works with host cities.

He also discussed how the league will consider hosting the NFL Combine in other cities, and possibilities for which city will host the 2027 NFL Draft.
