In this episode you will meet my dear friend Milly, a spark of joy from Australia. She and I have a lot of things in common, we love wearing out our shoes soles from hours of dancing, sharing a bottle of wine along the canal on a summer night in Amsterdam and most of all petting all the dogs that come across our way. One day, she shared with me this incredible anecdote that seems straight out of a Disney or a kid novel. 

The story of this episode is about the incredible journey of Ellie, her family dog, gone missing for 8 years.  It is an amazing example of this special connection a dog and their owner share.

Gwendal, aka Poubelle de Table (and most recently known as Graw), is a contemporary dancer, artist, drag performer and creature from Toulouse in the South of France.

We met in Amsterdam during the Superball, a battle of drag houses. I was mesmerised by their look. Shaved head and face completely covered with silver glitters, pieces of jewellery elegantly positioned on their eyes and skull, bright shiny pink lipstick, nails longer than scissors blades clawing their hand around their drink. We discussed for a long time that night. I decided to invite them the next day to sit in my living room with a bottle of Prosecco and a bowl of strawberries and ask them what it is like to be a queer artist nowadays, the complexity of choosing their artist’s name, their inspirations… They also revealed about their experience as a performer, their public and online discrimination and shared the connection they make between queer, trees and dance !
