Episode 005 - ME WE YOU YALL

Episode 005 - ME WE YOU YALL

One of the best ways I learned or improved a skill during my time playing sports was through this principle. My trainer or coach would show me how to do a certain drill, then we would do the drill together, then he would empower me to do the drill on my own, then I would show a teammate or another person the drill. This is how you multiply your leadership.

I found this is crucial if you want to scale your business quickly and create a leadership culture!

Episode 004 - The Best Type of Leadership

Episode 004 - The Best Type of Leadership

In my experience Servant Leadership is the best and most effective way to lead. From witnessing impactful leaders during my college baseball career to witnessing leaders in the career world, the most impactful leaders have embodied servant leadership. In order to be a great servant leadership there are 3 key components:

    1.  Sacrifice- this is absolutely crucial to servant leadership. Sacrifice grows your discipline and develops your character. Additionally sacrifice earns you trust and respect of those around you.

    2.  Vulnerability- as you go first in being vulnerable, your relationship grows, deep relational connections form and influence grows. People will be impressed with what you know but will connect with you on your weaknesses.

    3.  Lead by example- You can’t lead people places you aren’t willing to go yourself. If you tell people how to do something but never show them your influence is capped and respect is not easily gained!

Episode 003 - Know Your Why

Episode 003 - Know Your Why

Knowing your why is vital to your pursuits in your life. From college to my career there were several times where I realized my why was not strong enough to get me through the tough seasons in my life. Below are the 4 categories of questions I asked myself to help me uncover my why.

    1. What makes me sing? What things do I do that make me happy and joyful?

    2. What makes me cry? What event occur, situations happen that break my heart? When certain songs come on or things happen in a movie that make me cry, why?

    3. What makes me dream? What inspires me? What do I see/do/experience that fuels my tank?

    4. What makes me come alive? What do other people see me do that inspires them? What do I see/do/experience that feeds my soul? What am I passionate about?

Once I uncovered my why, I could formulate my habits, and disciplines that aligned with my why!
