Vanessa's career began at Ford Motor Company, where she spent seven years as a Test Driver, conducting rigorous road and laboratory tests on prototypes to evaluate gasoline reactivity and performance. Her expertise extended to conducting various emission, environmental, and chemical tests on both prototype and current vehicles, demonstrating her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.

Transitioning to Alcoa Fujikura, Vanessa continued to showcase her technical prowess by performing mechanical, chemical, and environmental testing on automotive components, including wire harnesses, relays, fuses, and power distribution boxes. Her role required precision and thoroughness, ensuring the reliability and safety of critical automotive systems.

At Trico, Vanessa's responsibilities evolved as she took on the construction of "bucks" (artificial car fronts) and tested windshield wipers to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Additionally, she provided invaluable managerial and technical support to the automotive engineering community, underscoring her versatility and leadership capabilities.

Makayla isn't just a leader on the drone soccer field; she's an exemplary innovator in aviation, boasting a stellar track record in both manned and unmanned flight. As Corps Commander of her AFJROTC unit, Flight Commander, and Cyber Patriot Team Leader, she's proven her mettle time and time again.

But Makayla's passion for flight knows no bounds. From a young age, she's been dedicated to mastering the skies, earning her Private Pilot License with a Glider Rating at the impressive age of 16! Talk about reaching for the stars!

And here's the kicker: Makayla's ambitions don't stop there. As a high school senior, she's currently blazing a trail towards her Airplane Single Engine Land Rating, gathering all the knowledge and experience she can along her chosen career path in aviation. Her ultimate dream? To become an astronaut and journey beyond the confines of our atmosphere.

Welcome to Get Your Hands Dirty! Today, we have a remarkable guest joining us, Emme Hall, a rabble-rouser in the world of off-road motorsports. Emme isn't just any journalist; she's the writer and driver behind some of the most out-in-the-wild stories on multiple continents!

Emme is an award-winning automotive journalist with a small Miata problem. She gets out to the canyons in her 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata whenever she can, but you can also find her in the dirt in her 2001 lifted and supercharged Miata at events like the Mint 400 and in the Desert Challenge at King of the Hammers. When not putting the roadsters through their paces, you might find her racing air-cooled Volkswagens in races like the Baja 1000, riding monkey bikes through Mongolia or exploring the wilds of the Himalayas in a tuk-tuk. She is also a seasoned Rebelle Rally competitor, having won in a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and a Rolls-Royce Cullinan. She was also the first to campaign an electric vehicle in the Rebelle Rally, earning a 5th place for the Rivian R1T.
