Although fairly new to the industry, she has been active with the NFPA and IFPS and was featured in the Fluid Power Technology Conference's Women in Fluid Power panel in 2018.

Here she talks about how she fell into the industry and discusses opportunities to engage more young people in the industry.

Notably Caryes is the first woman to lead that organization and has big ideas to move it and the industry forward.

Mary and Caryes discuss the importance of education at the college and primary and high school levels and how she is working with the CFPA to get more fluid power training into Canadian post-secondary schools. She also talks about her history in her family-owned business and the exciting challenges of being a part of the fluid power industry.

In our first-ever Women in Fluid Power podcast, Mary Gannon, Editor of Fluid Power World, chats with Céline Cabana, Technical Account Manager and Ashley Busquets, Simulation Engineer, with FD Groups America. The two women are leading the charge in building its parent company FluiDesign Group's presence in North America. FD Groups specializes in the design and production of custom‐made hydraulic and electronic components.

Here, Céline and Ashley discuss their recent entrances into the fluid power industry, who inspired them to be engineers, and what women can bring to the table to users and manufacturers of fluid power technologies.

2019 Fluid Power Technology Conference Presentation Preview:
Carl Dyke, founder of CD Industrial Group, talks with Fluid Power World Associate Editor Mike Santora about what attendees can expect during his presentation at FPTC 2019. Dyke's presentation will be an interactive session using 2D and 3D animations, simulations, and fly-throughs to look at the functions of variable displacement pumps. The presentation will begin at 2 pm CT on Tuesday, May 14th.
