    Worried About Money? Part Two

As we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s more important than ever that we Get Families Talking about support for the money worries it has brought to light.

Research shows that people who talk about money:

make better and less risky financial decisions
    have stronger personal relationships
help their children form good lifetime money habits
feel less stressed or anxious and more in control.

Building money conversations into our everyday lives also helps us build financial confidence and resilience to face whatever the future throws at us.

In this podcast, produced during #TalkMoneyWeek, in partnership with Birmingham Financial Inclusion Partnership, we are joined by Lorraine Gumbs from Agility Echo as we discuss how they support vulnerable and fuel poor households. We share tips and advice for listeners in the UK.

So, sit back and enjoy the podcast as we Get Families Talking about money!

Birmingham is on a journey to cleaner air with Councillor Waseem Zaffar - Podcast.

Birmingham is on a journey to cleaner air with Councillor Waseem Zaffar - Podcast.

In this podcast we speak with Cabinet Member for Transport and Environment, Councillor Waseem Zaffar, MBE, Birmingham City Council.

Birmingham is on a journey to cleaner air.

Pollution in the air, mainly caused by vehicles on the roads, is having a harmful effect on the health of people living, working and studying in the city.

Our population is growing, new buildings are going up, our rail and metro systems are getting bigger and faster and we have the Commonwealth Games to look forward to in 2022. All these things are great for the city and region. We want everyone to enjoy them, now and in the future. Improving air quality will mean more people, especially children, live healthier lives.

Online - To be, or not to be? Lloyds Bank Academy Podcast

Online - To be, or not to be? Lloyds Bank Academy Podcast

11.3 million people in the UK don’t have the basic digital skills they need to thrive in today’s world. How much are they missing out on?

On this podcast we are joined by Joanna Boosey and Chris Watkinson, Group Transformation, Lloyds Bank. Lloyds Bank believe learning should be available to everyone. So when their research revealed that millions of people in the UK still need digital skills, they created the Academy. Its easy-to-follow courses are designed to suit any level, and it's free.

In this podcast, we explore the work of the Academy and how digital inclusion impacts on people, individuals and families. We also explore the work of the UK Consumer Digital Index 2020.

Over the last five years, the Lloyds Bank UK Consumer Digital Index has used the behavioural data of 1 million people and interviewed almost 7,000 consumers, to create the UK’s largest measure of digital capability. This year finds that an estimated 7% of the UK population are still offline and 9 million struggle to get online by themselves. As the report launches on 21st May 2020, the effects of Covid-19 on the digitisation of the UK society are also explored within the findings and discussed on this podcast.

Get families talking about saving, borrowing and spending money podcast.

Do you know about credit unions? This podcast was recorded during 'Talk Money, Talk Pensions' Week.

The goal of Talk Money, Talk Pensions Week is to encourage everyone to open up about their finances. Discussing money and pension savings can feel taboo but in fact sharing thoughts about your money, whether good or bad, can be very valuable.Taking a little time to talk can lead to changing your habits, understanding your circumstances better or deciding to get help from an expert. And if that conversation becomes a regular catch-up, those benefits can only increase. Listen as we discuss the services Phil and Emily from https://www.advancecu.org.uk/ offer.
