    Abundance Year: Community & Sleep

    Abundance Year: Community & Sleep

This year I am going on my own transformational journey to living an abundant life and what it would really take to start living the life I want today.
This week I started to focus in on the things that matter to me in this journey and I started with creating and building community and friendship and also consistently prioritizing the amount of sleep I am getting.
Might seem like really easy stuff if you're an extrovert and have a really out going personality and you have never been someone who bought into hustle culture so getting less than 6 hours of sleep seems purely insane to you. But i struggle to sleep enough and to put myself into new situations to have friends and build relationships.
I was in the car headed back from the event I went to this weekend and we all were talking about how hard it can be to make friends and getting attached to people just to fall out of touch and how much we wished there was a friendship questionnaire form we could just give prospective friends and know right out the gate if we would vibe or not.
However, we are yet to find a casual way to slip someone an interview questionnaire that doesn't seem crazy and while I wish it was an option I might not have ever made the friends I have if I was only looking for a certain type of person. Making new friends is going to be messy. Losing new people is going to feel discouraging. Not knowing when to text someone and when to not be annoying is a whole mess in and of itself.
But it's important to be to live an abundant life that includes other humans. So cheers to trying to make that all work out for me.

    Abundance Year: Dealing With Distractions

    Abundance Year: Dealing With Distractions

    Are you easily distracted?
I am painfully easy to distract. In the time since I started even writing this. Yes. These first few lines I walked away from my desk, I started knitting, I started fighting a squid in the video game I am playing, returned 10 text messages and scrolled on Instagram when all I needed to do was write this caption for today's podcast.

    I am restless.
    I am flighty.
    I am uneasy.
I am so infuriatingly distractable it makes me want to scream and it has on many occasions made me cry.

So this week of my year of abundance challenge I am going to do my best to limit my distractability. I don’t think that’s a real word but it’s what I need to do real work on.

    Setting really specific singular tasks.

Focusing on one thing at a time.

Not being on my dang phone so much.

Clearing my constantly spinning brain of some of the clutter.

I know I can’t be the only person who struggles with full-blown SHINY OBJECT syndrome at all times.

So if that’s you please share some secrets for how you manage it or how you have gotten back on track after allowing it to be a habit for an increasingly long time.

Being Bold In Your Faith w/ Jordan Mulanex

Being Bold In Your Faith w/ Jordan Mulanex

Do you know who you are?
Do you know who you are in your faith?
Do you feel like you are trying to get so much from the world and checking each and every box of your accomplishments and getting all the things and you still aren't fulfilled?
Do you struggle to feel like you have your purpose or that you are in the right place at the right time when everyone around you is supposedly further ahead?
Where you are right now is exactly where you are supposed to be. Jordan and I chat all things about the Lord's timing and how every single season you have ever gone through had a lesson to teach you. There is a reason for why you are there and what you have to learn and grow through.
We learn just as much in failure as we learn in our successes if not more and every single thing matters because everything happens for a reason even if that reason is outside our understanding.
    Meet Jordan
SINGLE LADY. DOG MAMA. YOUR PERSONAL BFF.
It’s been a dream of mine for years to have a space where I can encourage women to know who they are in Jesus, because, personally, it took me years to do so myself!
I always felt like I was too far gone to be a “good” Christian girl and I thought I had to be P E R F E C T for Jesus to bless me or love me. — I was honestly lost for the majority of my twenties.
In addition, I was so insecure with what I looked like on the outside that it caused me to waste years concerning myself with what people thought of me. I sought to fill the internal voids I felt with things that only brought me more sadness.
I battled daily on what my purpose was… and with knowing what value I brought to the table.
Until I couldn’t take all the emptiness anymore.
It was then that I fully surrendered my life to Jesus and finally understood what it meant to be truly known and LOVED by Him.
All those voids I had been trying to fill only needed one thing… Jesus.
So now… here I am! Sharing His Love with all of you! Doing what God planted within me years ago to do.
I can’t wait to get to know you on a personal level, and be able to grow together! I am so happy you are here!

    Abundance Journey: Comparison Steals Joy

    Abundance Journey: Comparison Steals Joy

Who do you compare yourself too??
Strangers on the internet come to mind first probably.
We’re just here hanging out on social media to connect with people, find new recipes, get business advice and like pictures of cute animals.

    But then we see THEM.

Strangers on the internet and we start to compare ourselves to them, but at least for the most part strangers don’t have as big an impact on us.

Often times the ones we compare ourselves the most to are the people who are closest to us.

Does your friend have the marriage of your dreams?
Does your friend have the business of your dreams?
Does your friend have the six pack abs of your dreams?
Does your friend have the family of your dreams?

Comparison makes you think things aren’t possible for you, instead of the reality of if someone else is doing it, then it’s absolutely possible for you.

The focus for this week of my year-long abundance journey is on comparison and how to shift that mindset after a few bad days of comparisonitis.
