Have You Ever Been Shamed for Showing Your Frustration, Sadness or Distress? How Does Our Culture Nuture or Reject Vulnerability Today‪?‬ Understanding Personality, Live Your True Voice

    • Zelfhulp

You would think that we live in a time where vulnerability has a newfound safe haven for people to express, but it STILL isn't quite yet. Many of us were raised or trained not to show our frustration because we'll seem "ungrateful", or for men not to cry because it showed "weakness". How much of that do you still find around you? Where these personalities and characters are expected of us in our everyday lives, where only a fragment of it is permitted. Yet, we as HUMANS are designed to feel the entire spectrum of emotions. We understand what that's like! We grew up in different times than we have today, and though there's been progress, we're still lacking the nurturing and understanding that we need to heal, to grow, and to feel whole. What do you think that does to your body? To your perception of the world around and within you?

In this podcast, we talk about why vulnerability is important (in reference to Brene Brown's "vulnerability creates connection" brilliance), and how we can finally start to rid ourselves of the shame that represses most of our authenticity. Sharing stories that you might just relate to, and forgiveness for why things WERE as they were, we'll not only find our way back to the deep connection but to feeling ALIVE, again.
