Climate change and global warming have many manifestations, from extreme weather events such as increasingly fierce hurricanes to world-wide sea level rise, acidic oceans, and larger, hotter deserts that burn more readily. The burning of fossil fuels such as carbon dioxide (C02) creates a greenhouse effect with these multiple serious ramifications for the planet.
