Hookah Tales is a podcast featuring Imani, who was born in the states but proudly embraces her West African roots. Imani intertwines her African upbringing with her westernized culture to discuss things she’s passion about, stories, and life in general but with peppeh. Why the name Hookah Tales? African women smoking, culturally has a negative connotation- at times may be a taboo. Hookah signifies all cultural stigmas that are now being broken; taking the negative and inverting it. Reclaiming and embracing taboos against women in African culture. Smoking shisha is going against the grain!
