For our final episode of the year, we've decided to take a break from TV reviews to have a casual chat about the work we've put out this year. We answer listener questions, reflect on what we've learnt thus far, and discuss our podcast highlights and lowlights of the year. And just like that... we're back with part 2 of our Sex & the City review. This week we look back on some of the show's more #problematic story-lines and it's shocking lack of good representation. We also discuss: how it should have ended, Samantha's exceptional shamelessness, and why Carrie is the absolute worst. With the recent reboot of a 90's classic, we couldn't help but wonder if a Sex & the City review was in order. A show that is simultaneously contemporary and nostalgic, progressive and regressive, seductive and (at times) cringey. Join us for part 1 as we analyse two of our four leading ladies- Charlotte, and Miranda. We talk about: Charlotte's *determination* to find a husband, why your 20's probably aren't your prime years, how Hillary Clinton is clearly a Miranda, and the mystery that is men. 

We get a little personal on this week's episode as we review the 2020 Historical, coming-of-age, drama- The Queen's Gambit. Using our limited knowledge of chess...and life... we discuss Beth's stylish genius persona, her "not like other girls" qualities, her addictions, obsessions, and the story-lines that were a little too far-fetched.
