Trump's legal fate is in the hands of the jury

Trump's legal fate is in the hands of the jury

Tonight on The ReidOut, Joy Reid leads with how for the first time in American history, a jury is deciding whether a former president committed felonies. Plus we discuss how, after deliberations began, the jury made several requests to the judge. Meanwhile, Donald Trump and his defenders are bracing for the verdict by attacking the judge, lying about the jury instructions, and increasingly portraying Trump as a martyr. Plus, new reporting on Supreme Court Justice Sam Alito's insurrectionist flags show that he is now throwing his wife even further under the bus, and refusing to recuse from Trump cases, earning a pat on the head from Trump himself. Hush money trial prosecution argues there is a 'mountain of evidence' against Trump in closing arguments

Hush money trial prosecution argues there is a 'mountain of evidence' against Trump in closing arguments

Joy Reid leads this episode of The ReidOut with the closing arguments in the historic first-ever criminal trial of a former U.S. president, Donald Trump. The prosecution argues that the case comes down to three things that they claim to have proven -- that there were in fact false business records, that the false business records were intended to cover up a conspiracy related to the 2016 election, and that Donald Trump was personally involved. As expected, the defense focused heavily on Michael Cohen’s credibility in their closing arguments. We also cover the global condemnation, which is at a fever pitch, after an Israeli airstrike hit a camp for displaced civilians in Rafah. Listen now to this edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.

Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) also joins Joy to discuss her epic takedown of Marjorie Taylor Greene, sparking a wave of memes and music. Listen now to this episode of The ReidOut on MSNBC.

Extremist Supreme Court justices wage war on secular America

Tonight on The ReidOut, Joy Reid leads with Supreme Court Justice Sam Alito, who reveled in, and joked about, being the one to deliver the death blow to Roe v Wade. Alito is now making it harder to bring racial gerrymandering cases, while reports have shown him flying yet another extremist flag over his home. Also in this episode, we cover Donald Trump wasting his time in the Bronx following a head-spinning week as a criminal defendant, purveyor of Nazi rhetoric, and bald-faced liar claiming that he was a target for assassination. Plus, Joy exposes how Ron DeSantis, fresh from his humiliating presidential campaign, is co-opting the civil rights movement term "freedom summer" to push his hateful agenda. Trump's defense rests without Trump testifying

Tonight on The ReidOut, Joy Reid leads with Donald Trump, who last month claimed that only he and his long-time advisor Dan Scavino could post to his social media account. Trump is now having his campaign blame a nameless "staff member" for posting a video referring to "the creation of a unified Reich." This incident is not the first time Trump has invoked rhetoric echoing Hitler's Germany. We also bring you the latest as Trump's defense rests without Trump testifying in the Stormy Daniels hush money trial. Listen now to this episode of The ReidOut on MSNBC.

Hardball, Chris Matthews

Awful and unacceptable. Chris Matthews asks his guests a question and then he talks over them, he gives his opinion after saying he will keep his opinions to himself, he does not allow people to finish a sentence without interrupting and interjecting, he asks (mis)leading questions. And the top point of unacceptable came last week in discussing Bernie Sanders. Let me state, I am not a Sanders supporter but suggesting that Bernie Sanders’ social-democratic platform would result in people being shot in Central Park was a show of manipulation. Denmark, Sweden but also Germany, France, The Netherlands, Belgium - in fact all of Western Europe have social democratic government's with high levels of personal freedom, press freedom, affordable healthcare for everyone. I know this as an ex-pat living in the Netherlands for the last 45 years. Chris can hope that Bernie is not the Democratic Party’s candidate but the place for him to put money where his mouth is is in the voting booth.
