Episode #98 – How Do You Like Them Apples?

Episode #98 – How Do You Like Them Apples?

We start this episode by catching up for a minute, discussing the state of the union and our shared disdain for our President. We move on to discuss the new Joyner Lucas/Ashanti song Fall Slowly and also share our thoughts on WAP.

We spend a good chunk of time chatting about Cal Scruby’s new album, While You Were Sleeping, before Keezie introduces Ends to the world of K-Pop. Keezie’s daughters have become huge K-Pop fans over the last few months, leading him to be engrossed in the world as well. He explains the phenomenon of BTS and Dynamite, and plays Ends a song called Easy by the Stray Kids which gets a monster bash all around, and also leads to a neat discussion about pop music in general.

Moving on to games, we discuss Control, hype up Marvel’s: The Avengers, and Ends tells us about the new Last of Us 2 update. We discuss graphics cards and pc gaming for a bit, and Keezie shares his thoughts on Dreams for PS4. We then wrap up the first half by paying a little respect to Chadwick Boseman.

We take a break and return to discuss Super Mario 3D All-Stars, we Raise the Bars (someone gets a 10!), and discuss our throwback spotlight movie of the week, Good Will Hunting.

Episode #97 – Couldn’t Get It In – ft. Scott

This episode we are finally joined by long time friend of the show, Scott! We begin the episode by catching up, discussing the coronavirus and Kanye a bit before diving into our main topic – The Last of Us 2. We spoil the fuck out of this game, so if you haven’t completed it yet, skip to the 58 minute mark. Also be sure to check out Keezie’s chat with Chris about TLOU2 if you’re like us and you just can’t get enough of Ellie, Abby, Joel, Keezie or Chris.

We take a break and return to raise the motha f****n bawrs. Scott brought some bars of his own, so we have a grand ole time and hand out some extremely high scores this week, including a couple of 10’s! Scott takes off before we dive into our throwback spotlight movie Detroit (2017), and Ends reveals his next movie choice, Good Will Hunting.

Episode #96 – A Casualty of War – ft. King Dice

Episode #96 – A Casualty of War – ft. King Dice

This episode we are joined by King Dice! He is a rapper/producer/mentor and we brought him in to help us navigate the treacherous waters of today’s climate, regarding the protests, cops, and #BLM. We spend a good chunk of the show discussing these issues, and Dice offers us his perspective as a black man in America.

After we chop it up for a while regarding these serious issues, we lighten things up as Dice sticks around to help us raise the bars, and participates in our throwback spotlight discussion of The Life of David Gale. He suggests that we should watch Detroit (2017) for our next movie, to gain some perspective about police brutality.

Make sure you check out King Dice’s music videos, which can be found on his site KingDiceSays.com, and also peep his site JooseBoxx.com for more dopeness! and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel and hit the bell to get notified when we go live!

    Episode #95 – A Weird time

    Episode #95 – A Weird time

This episode starts with some catching up, Keezie tells Ends about his new hobby – playing ukulele, Ends tells us all about Tekashi 69’s new video, and we dive into some video game talk. We discuss our thoughts on the PS5, PUBG, and Assassin’s Creed, and Keez talks a little about LEGO Harry Potter.

Keeping things tight, we dive right into Raise the Bars. For some reason Ends’ audio does have a weird echo effect (again) which persists throughout RTB and Throwback, so sorry about that.

We move on to discuss The Wedding Singer for our throwback spotlight, which was a real treat! Keezie recommends The Life of David Gale for the next episode. We then wrap things up with a quick chat about VR gaming.

Welcome back! This episode we are back with a new setup and doing the pod remotely. We get the inside scoop on Ends’ new EP titled XXIII, available now on all streaming platforms. We discuss Tiger King, Dave, Keezie talks about his newfound affinity for The Office, and we have a fun chat about Days Gone before taking a break.

We return from break with our audio issue fixed, and Ends then tells us all about RE3, Her Story, and Telling Lies. We talk about the Stanley Parable and a bunch of other games I won’t bore you with, and we check out the Travis Scott Fortnite concert before raising the bars.

We wrap things up by shining our throwback spotlight on a movie for the first time ever this week. Keezie chose (the appropriately timed) 28 Days Later (2002) this episode, and Ends chooses The Wedding Singer (1998) for our next one.
