Speakers included leading established experts in the field and early career researchers, among them postgraduate students. The conference attracted another 35 participants from the UK and Europe. Response from all participants was enthusiastic. The quality of the papers was very high and negotiations for publication are underway with a major press. In addition, probably a first among UK Classics conferences, the whole event was filmed and has now been uploaded to the internet at https://www.ucl.ac.uk/classics/engagement/use_and_abuse_of_law_in_the_athenian_courts for use both by professionals in research and teaching and by interested members of the public.
