Eastern Insights and Western Liturgical Reforms: Travelers, Texts, and Liturgical "Baggage"
Eastern Christian insights have impacted Western liturgical reforms in the past several centuries, especially through unofficial or official changes to ritual structures. It appears that increased exposure to Eastern Christian liturgical practitioners, texts, and ritual subunits motivated some Westerners to view Eastern liturgies as a potential complement or corrective to their own.
