Is it possible to have fun AND be spiritual‪?‬ Guided - A podcast for seekers

    • Spiritualiteit

A lot of spiritual teachings I have seen, both online and off, have been really seriously boring. I mean by being so serious has made spiritual stuff boring. Does it have to be that way?

I feel like as teachers of intuition, magic, and spiritualism, we feel a huge responsibility to make sure those learning from us, learn the “right” way, have reverence for the energies that they play with and learn how to be safe & protected. I know from my own experience, I intend that anyone that works with me not ever to experience what I went through when I came out of sleeping, aka, awakening. It was a rough opening to this world. You can listen to that story here.

And now I realize, there is no way I can protect any one from anything. I can’t prevent something that your soul designed to experience. I’ve been SO serious about this that I shut off my FUN valve. I’m a pretty fun person when you meet me. So a few months back I started asking myself,

Where’s the FUN?
If there was ever time to really expand into our fun it is when we decide to truly engage with our intuition, psychic abilities, and the like. It is suppose to be FUN.

Why FUN?

You might have a different approach to this or another word that gets you there. I choose FUN because it frees us from any rules. And it’s a word that I associate with mostly from my childhood.

Remember back when you were a kid? Remember how everything you did was in service of FUN? We could create fun out of any thing, any one, at any time.

As a kid, you might’ve decided to knock over a freshly built Lego tower…why? FOR FUN!  You jumped off the top of the couch because you wanted to see if you could fly because…IT’s FUN!

This is precisely where we can find our magic if we think we lost it. Tapping into those fun times as kids. Think about the kind of things you did as a kid and start there.

Here in the Netherlands we have a comedy theater, Boom Chicago (named after Second City in Chicago), offers classes to intro of improvisation. So I dragged a good American friend with me and we went. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! I had my first class last week and I have never laughed so hard in my life. It connects back to when I was a kid in a youth theatre program. We played these improv games for a few weeks before getting selected into a play. Finding the fun in your life, taking things less seriously will bring you to a place that is high vibe. This will open you up creatively and intuitively. You are letting go, feeling free and exploring what you are capable of by having fun.

I know as adults we get so serious and into our responsibilities. I believe we can find fun in any part of our lives. Of course not all things are fun. What I suggest here is by asking:

Where can I find the FUN in (this) ?

When you do, you are opening yourself up to more joy, ease and potentially laughter when you let go of those rules around the way things should be done.

When you think of spirituality what word do you associate with it?  Could fun work here?

And if you need a pump up in life then use this question:

Where can in my life or business could use an infusion of FUN?

Share with me in the comments.
