#028 Karen Oldham-Waring - Sunflower Training and Consultancy
Back to our regular broadcast!
This week on the show my guest is Karen Oldham-Waring who runs Sunflower Training and Consultancy which she set up three years ago to helps businesses get the most out of the staff by really considering the mental health of their employees.
She contacted me wanting to discuss Men's Health Week which runs from the 11th to the 17th of June and this conversation is great. We talk about how businesses should consider the mental health of their employees and how to mitigate problems. How and why people seem to be suffering more with depression and anxiety more today than in the past and loads of other topics relating to mental health for men and women.
If you want to find out more about Karen and her business or need some extra resources to support yourself then go to www.sunflowertraining.co.uk or contact office@sunflowertraining.co.uk

Bodmin Town Framework - Infrastructure
This is the final part of the Bodmin Town Framework Special and I am glad it is over. In part 4 we look into infrastructure relating to education, health and transport primarily.
I hope you got something out of this special series and found it interesting. It was a test to see if there was another way to find information published by the Council instead of having to seak it out and read it.
Please let me know your thoughts any feedback is really useful to me and I would really appreciate it. Please email kernowkast@gmail.com or alternatively seek us out on youtube, facebook, twitter or instagram all by searching 'Kernow Kast'
I am also on LinkedIn (Lewis Pauling) and our website is www.kernowkast.wordpress.com

Bodmin Town Framework Part 3 - Spatial Strategy
This is the third part of this special and it is very long so i apologise for that. This test has turned out to be a lot of work but hopefully it has provided you some value and a way to keep up to date with what is to come from Bodmin over the next decade or so.
This is all about where they are putting certain things like housing developments and business units, plus a school.
Please let me know if this is something that has been useful to you, like if you didn't know this framework existed for example?
You can find the Kernow Kast on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter so go find me there just search Kernow Kast we should be top spot
Thank you so much for listening I really appreciate it -
Bodmin Town Framework Part 2
Hey, this week we have another special series where I am exploring a Council document! Now this may sound boring but I am hoping to find a new way of broadcasting important things to the public so this is also a bit of a test.
In this series I am going through each section of what is The Bodmin Town Framework document produced by Cornwall Council in conjunction with the Local Plan which, in a nutshell are business plans for the area(s) taking us up to 2030.
This is something I have wanted to do for a while, looking over Bodmin from a 30,000 feet perspective to try and summarise where it is now and where it is going in the future.
You can find the document yourself here https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/media/267...
Please let me know what you think of this idea and I know it is not my best piece of content, it was a bigger project than I anticipated, so a little forgiveness would be appreciated this time round.

In this weeks episode I talk with Graham Kemp from Drums 4 Fun which hosts percussion workshops for people with learning difficulties, Alzheimers, Dementia and various other additional needs to help build self esteem, confidence and to just enjoy themselves doing something new.
