In our last episode, we finished on June 9, 68. Nero was 30 years and six months old. He had ruled for 13 years and 8 months. On June 10, 68, while he was still in Spain, The Senate declared the governor of Hispania Tarraconensis, northern Spain, 73 year old Servius Sulpicius Galba, to be the new Emperor. Cliffnotes version of Roman history
When you couldn't get enough of the first podcast of this amazing duo, the Life of Caesar show, fear not! For this continuation is focussed on the Life of August, adopted son of the Queen of Bithynia, and has even more episodes in which you can listen to 80's music.
If you want to learn about ancient Roman history, or just want to compare Trump to Caesar, I'd certainly recommend listening to it!
Augustus!
Kan niet beter!
Caesar was a commie pinko
Don't be fooled by Ray's incessant valley girl giggling and frequent "ahw-my-gaawwd"s, or Cam's pee-and-poo humor and fondness of show tunes; Life of Caesar is extremely entertaining, sure, but it is well researched, thouroughly discussed and often surprisingly applicable to current affairs.
Cam goes into long tangents about the current empire, while Cam desperately tries not to get too involved.
It's good!
