This video looks at solving by elimination from its simplest form, to solving with decimals and fractions. Note that Sample Problem 3 and 4 are not a step by step to completion. These sample problems merely assist with the initial steps to converting decimals and fractions into linear systems similar to Sample Problems 1 and 2. Answers are provided.

This video looks at solving by substitution and find the point of intersection of a linear system without graphing. We will see what to look for when solving by substitution to see whether there is one solution, no solution or infinite number of solutions.

This video looks at solving linear systems by graphing. We recall how to graph linear systems using the slope intercept form of y=mx+b. We look at how to graph and how to identify the point of intersection of a linear system.

In this video, I introduce the 3 possible outcomes when solving linear systems. Linear systems are a set of 2 or more lines and it is up to us to determine where these lines will intersect one another, IF they will in fact intersect one another. This lesson is to be watched prior to watching my videos on Solving by Graphing, Substitution and Elimination.

KEY CONCEPTS: In order to use the slope and intercept rules, equation MUST be in the form of y=mx+b TRICKS to be Careful of: y=4 (horizontal line - therefore slope is 0) x=4 (vertical line - therefore slope is undefined)
