With the Local Government Commission releasing their determinations on representation arrangements for councils, and Rotorua Lakes Council's proposed representation arrangements needing a law change which has been the subject of intense debate and media coverage, we take a look at both of these issues to see what's going on.

After an extended hiatus, Local Aotearoa is finally back for 2022. To get back into things, we're taking a look at where some of the big issues facing the sector currently are, as well as surveying the current state of mayoral races around the country ahead of October's local government elections.
