A wild weekend of Toronto Blue Jays baseball ends with a series loss to the Minnesota Twins 2-1. This was a weekend that nobody could have predicted. The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Philadelphia Phillies 5-3, snapping the Phillies’ 11-game home winning streak. This was a more typical Toronto Blue Jays game, having great starting pitching, just enough offense to keep them ahead, and a solid performance from the bullpen. Chris Bassitt had a huge bounceback game, getting swings on pitches outside of the strike zone, resulting in a ton of weak contact.
