You are uniquely qualified to tell your story. In the Bible’s stories about Jesus healing the demon possessed man we see that Jesus tells the man to go tell his friends and family. Your perspective matters and we need to make sure that we are willing to speak up. Our minds can tell us that we aren’t good enough, that our opinion doesn’t matter and our ideas are stupid. No! Your opinion is important, your ideas need to be shared and we need to combat those negative thoughts because we don’t know how our words will impact others. Be willing to take action, be willing to toss your pebble or shoot your arrow, then trust that God will use it to His glory. We don’t know why, when, how or who but we do know that God is at work.

How many times have you thought, ‘God, what are You doing?’ ‘Have You forsaken me? Why have You let me go through this season?’ Perhaps it is because we didn’t learn the lesson He had for us during the good times. Perhaps God is making sure that we learn the lesson that we need to learn and that can come during a hard season of life. Focus on the proper perspective, the purpose that God has for us and the Progress you have made.

Loving each other is not always as easy as it seems to be in the movies. We each speak a love language and it is often also true that your spouse and you don’t necessarily speak the same one as your “native” language. So, learning about the 5 love languages helped us understand each other much better and love each other better. Furthermore, we have give each other a playbook or love list filled of things our spouse can do so that we feel loved.
