Masha and the Dogs Masha Volakhava

On this episode of Masha and the Dogs we meet two dogs with epic names. 
First, we chat about a German Shepherd named after the God of War himself: Odin. He is still a young pup so we get to hear about the rollercoaster that raising a canine God of War is but we also learn about the profound impact this young dog deity has already had on the world around him. 
Then we learn about another dog with a big name: Sully. Named after one of the greatest and bravest pilots of all time, he rubbed elbows with the U.S political elite, and had a bronze statue of himself erected during his lifetime. In other words, a very important good boy.

In this episode of Masha and the Dogs we are talking tiny pups. 

Anyone who has ever had a small dog knows that they are only small in stature, their personalities (and often bark) are 1000's of times larger than their physical bodies. 

The two dogs we are covering today are no exception: Thomas was a stray who consisted of mostly floofy hair and emerged from the woods one day to become Jared's best friend. He went on to survive a bear invasion at a campsite and taught his boy how to become the master of the woods. 

Then we chat about Smoky the Yorkie who, despite being just 4lbs, went on to become one of WW II's most brave heroes. She laid wires into enemy territory and helped wounded soldiers find a will to go on, becoming world's first registered therapy dog. 

On this episode of Masha and the Dogs we are going on an epic adventure. 
First, we meet Ranger the Alaskan Malamute and his amazing mom. Dog lovers always say that they strive to be more like their dogs - live their lives to the fullest everyday. Well Ranger and his mom are the embodiment of that. Ranger inspired his mom by not letting diabetes slow him down one bit and taking all things in stride. In turn, she took him on an adventure of a life time - no fear, just focusing on the present moment, enjoying every drop of time they have together. 
Then we learn about Bobbie the Wonder Dog who traveled over 4,000KM through treacherous conditions to be reunited with his family. 
This episode is all about the incredible bond between dogs and their humans and amazing adventures that bring us closer together. 

After a summer break, Masha and the Dogs returns to talk about two golden coloured pups: Masha's retriever nephew Hudson and a little golden chihuahua with big ears and an even bigger personality: Gidget the Taco Bell Dog. 

First, we meet Hudson, a rambunctious golden retriever who is living his best beach life, eating sweet potato treats, and inspiring people to find joy in every moment. 

Then we meet a tiny chihuahua who likely made you order Taco Bell even though you knew that you should probably be more like Hudson and eat sweet potatoe treats instead. All ears and personality, Gidget starred in an ad campaign that catapulted Taco Bell into fast-food stardom, and not necessarily for the right reasons.

On this episode of Masha and the Dogs we talk about the hard but rewarding journey of rescuing dogs and we meet America's first dog Mayor (true story). 
First, Masha and Sasha chat about Sasha's 4 beautiful fur-babies; Seajay, Charles, Ringo, and Frank. We learn about their transformations from neglected rescue dogs to thriving, happy, healthy, loving pups. We also talk dog rescue in general and what it takes to be a good rescue dog-parent. 
Then we learn about America's first dog-Mayor - Bosco Ramos. He was a very important political figure who, not only was devoted to his immediate constituents, but also made an impact on the world stage when his political career was attacked by the communists and he rallied (no actually, he attended a rally) to demonstrate the goodness of democracy.

In this episode of Masha and the Dogs we meet local and historical heroes who are not afraid to live it up!
First, we chat about Ben and Leila - two beautiful golden heroes who are well known in the neighborhood for their ability to make a gloomy day brighter but who are also not afraid to throw some sass and get into a little trouble in the name of good ol' fashioned fun. 
Then, we meet Sinbad the Sailor, a historical K9 hero who was, not just a mascot, but an actual crew member of the USCGC Campbell. In fact, he was one of two animals to be classified as non-commissioned officers by an arm of the United States military. But he also was also prone to drinking and getting himself into trouble and had to face the captain's mast on more than one occasion.
