You are still in there somewhere - When we move into Materescence

You are still in there somewhere - When we move into Materescence

I have had the privilege in this last episode of the Series 1 to interview Stacy Moore who I met through Michelle Gyimah my guest in Episode 2 and we discovered so many commonalities she is my new best friend!

Stacy is a Chartered Psychologist and Director of Inner Circles Educational Psychology. After 15 years of supporting child and adult wellbeing through training, consultation and supervision, Stacy founded The Nesting Coach to provide psychoeducation, coaching and reflective space for women during ‘matrescence’. She works with companies who are committed to the wellbeing, inclusion and retention of working mothers and uses social media as a vehicle to connect directly with professional mums. Stacy is a mum of two boys and a sunshine worshipper.

I hope you enjoy this episode as much I did making it.

    Building Good Humans

    Building Good Humans

I speak to the wonderful Rebecca Carrington, Principal Co-Founder of Arts1 School of Performing Arts, Award Winner and most importantly Mum of 17 month old Fern. We talk about the responsibility of bringing up a baby. The constant questioning of 'am I doing enough?' 'am I doing this right?'. We discuss how we can't fix everything for them but take the responsibility of making their future the best it can be while they find their own way.

Talking Gender Equality-Negotiation-Flexibility & Taking Control of Your Future

Talking Gender Equality-Negotiation-Flexibility & Taking Control of Your Future

In this first episode I talk to Michelle Gyimah mum of two and living with her partner and children in Valencia. We talk about how having her first child was the catalyst for taking control of her future to enable the flexibility needed when juggling the logistics of a young family.

Michelle is the Director of Equality Pays, a gender equality consultancy dedicated to closing workplace pay gaps.

With UK gender pay gap reporting regulation in force, possible ethnicity pay gap reporting and a workplace talent shortage looming, redressing inequalities in the workplace is more important than ever.

Michelle’s unique understanding of employee engagement and workplace challenges enables her to embed practical application into her consultancy.

In addition to working with employers, Michelle is also a passionate advocate for enabling women to get equal pay and close their pay gaps. She does this by supporting their equal pay investigations and teaching women workplace negotiation skills to allow them to get more of what they want.

Michelle has over 10 years’ experience of working at the Equality and Human Rights Commission and holds a Masters in Human Rights from The University of Manchester.

Michelle is a regular contributor to numerous national business magazines, international conferences and lives in Manchester, UK.
