Mutant Chronicles End Of The Reel

    • Filmrecensies

Thomas Jane headlines this mess of a film from 2008.
Welcome to Mutant Chronicles, a film set on earth in the past kinda, but really it's in the future.
It's on earth but a big evil rock flew into the earth that then unleashed some sort of machine that turns people into mutants for some reason?

Ron Perlman is also in this film as a sort of Brother dude, going through and reading from what can only be a magical book.

Then we have a ton of other actors like the always entertaining Devon Aoki playing her part of a sniper that for some reason pretty much only uses hand-to-hand combat.
Surprised that she went to this after Fast and the Furious

Mutant Chronicles is based on a board game, it seems a lot like Warhammer at the start of the movie, and then when looking up its source that all started to make sense.
The thing is, there's a lot of critical lore that is ignored and never told to people watching this movie for the first time. I can only imagine that they were planning for people to have played the game first if they were going to go to this movie?
