My Escape by Aastha Gupta Aastha Gupta

Hi Guys!
This is me Aastha and I'm here to present you all a little piece that I wrote on escapism, culminated coz of predicaments, either be it about pandemic or any struggle that everyone has to face in general.
It could have been better but guys understand it takes a lot of effort just to make a single video of two mins duration so cooperate.

My escape goes like:

Perfect it is, flawless it seems;
Reality's harsh, so the imagination redeems.
Everyone in my kin, perfect you'd call,
Resemblance? Cypher! Not even close, not at all.
Values innate, by nature, they are selfless,
Virtues, in general, are a fallacy; the situation appears helpless.
I laugh and, I laugh, there's no moment of melancholy;
Happiness, endangered; if it appears, it's forcefully.

In it, route paves its way, beautiful emancipation.
Every path I set down now leads to devastation.
Perpetual in character and recurring moments of bliss,
In reality, bliss now seems to be amiss.
Every expectation turns out to be right,
Have Searched way too long, in way too many plights.

It's hazy it's vague;
He's beside me, I hesitate.
My wrath dissipates, permutes into indignation;
Every moment of him ahead is aggravation.
I Never anticipated that event would fill me with remorse;
Every time I feel that way, I explain to myself it's not true, it's false.
It took its toll, a toxic culmination;
Here I am indulged in my concocted imagination.

Soon I'd be dropping an explanation, i.e., meaning of the piece, till then it's open for interpretation 😉
Do let me know what you think about my video in the comment section below and if you like it then don't forget to like, share and subscribe 😊
Hope you enjoy it...

"I had read tons of science fiction. I was fascinated by other worlds, other environments. For me, it was fantasy, but it was not fantasy in the sense of pure escapism" -- James Cameron
