The best!
The best dog training podcast there is! It helps me a lot with my smooth collie. Grtz from the Netherlands. XO
Episode 210
Dear Tom,
I do train my Maltese mix obedience and structure. Little dog breeds do perceive the environment differently than larger dogs due to their size.
I get your point it just sounds to black and white to me you can have a grey area which can work.

Amazing and free
I will be a dog trainer in a few months thanks to you. I’ve always loved dogs and trained my own and some of my friend’s dogs but since I discovered you last year, I understood how many limited dog trainers are out there and how much need there is for people who are natural at understanding dogs.
I have a question: I have a 4 months old Malinois mix puppy that’s hungry all the time. If he hasn’t eaten in 8 hours, he will literally eat sticks. He is at the top of the growth chart and eats more than my adult dog that is 25% heavier than him.
My question is: how do I correct him when he starts eating stuff outside without being too harsh? I want to be able to take him out without a full stomach so that he can focus better on me for real life off leash training. He will drop it if I say but sometimes I don’t see him on time.
Thanks for making balanced dog training cool and helping so many dogs and people.
