The Mt. Rushmore Of Actresses - Part 1

The Mt. Rushmore Of Actresses - Part 1

Welcome to Episode 184!  Everyone knows about the iconic Mount Rushmore in South Dakota.  Many may even know all of the faces carved into the surface of the rock.  What if there was a mountain, like Mt. Rushmore, but featuring the faces of iconic actresses instead of presidents??  That's exactly what Casey & Mark are talking about this week!

If you know anything about your favorite GBFs, you know they love movies, television, and all things pop culture.  While actors and actresses are often a subject The Boys mention, focusing on their top 4 actresses of all-time to be featured in such an iconic and permanent way was a treat.  In this, Part 1 of their discussion, they are discussing their thoughts on who has been chosen by each of them.  Then it's on to the first two actresses for Mark and the first two for Casey ranked in the 4th and 3rd position.  Who did they choose?  The names may surprise you!

First up, The Boys are remembering the notorious OJ Simpson from acting roles, his legal troubles, and a mention of sports.  This week's Trash Talk topics include a defendant who gets a lighter sentence because ANTIFA, marriage troubles for Gypsy, and STIs are now illegal in a US state.

The Boys are excited and firing on all cylinders this week.  You don't wanna miss this one!  So fill up a healthy pour of your favorite port vintage and pull up a seat at the table with your GBFFs.  Get ready -- it's time to paint!

    Carter Country

    Carter Country

Welcome to Episode 183!  The start of 2024 has had a few acclaimed albums from well- known artists - Waxahatchee with Tiger's Blood, Britney Howard with What Now, and Ariana Grande with eternal sunshine to name a few.  No album has been as hyped or has been discussed as much by so many as Beyonce's new release - Cowboy Carter.

Have you listened to the latest release from Beyonce?  This week Casey & Mark are sitting down to discuss the album --- how did the idea start and why did Beyonce want to create the album?  What's on the album? Who is on the album? and because it's their podcast -- The Boys are ranking their top 3 songs from the album.  There's lots of tea, plenty of vitriol, and brilliant artistry at play on Cowboy Carter and Mark & Casey are weighing in on all of it!

This week's Trash Talk topics include butt plugs for chess players, a horrifying and violent photo shared on social media brings zero consequences to a man who claims to be a target by the media, and a special invited guest to a funeral.  All this plus recommendations too!

This one's full of thoughts, tea, and topics! So fill up a cup of port vintage, grab your colors, and pull up a seat to the table with your GBFFs because it's time to paint!

To Sequel, Or Not To Sequel

To Sequel, Or Not To Sequel

Welcome to Episode 181!  The Boys have been noticing a trend in film and television and they had some thoughts so they wanted to share them with you.  The season of sequels is upon us with one already released this season and many, many more coming.

Casey & Mark are discussing the trend of sequels & reboots currently trending in Hollywood.  Is it nostalgia? Is it greed? Is it lack of fresh ideas?  Who can tell?  Your Gay BFFs!  With at least 20 of them hitting the silver screen this year, it's clear somethings afoot with this content.  It's not new -- no, there have been many a sequel made-- to varying degrees of success.  And because it's Painted Trash, adding to the discussion are some highlights of some of the worst sequels and reboots. The Boys are also sharing some ideas for the Hollywood listeners/ readers/ viewers/ writers/ callers to consider about potential future sequels and reboots!

Kicking things off this week Casey has the info on his game filled weekend and Mark had tame week in ('cause sometimes you just gotta).  In Trash Talk,  The Boys are discussing the headlines including a person chasing a look emulating Icon Realness and a petty gay who was so petty he found himself paying a steep price.  Of course, we have recommendations (or wreck-o-mendations)!

This one is jam packed with lots of thoughts (and thots)!  So fill a glass of your favorite port vintage, grab your colors, and pull up a seat to the table with your gay BFFs. It's Time To Paint!

    Cancelling Laramie

    Cancelling Laramie

Welcome to Episode 180!  It is 2024 but you might have to triple check the calendar to make sure based on the targeting of communities in the World.  Jews, Palestinians, immigrants, African Americans, and, yes, the LGBTQIA+ community.  As leaders throughout the United States and the world continue to try and rollback equality, a production of a widely popular and respected play has been a latest target in Texas.

The Laramie Project, a deeply affecting and important work presenting the aftermath (and long-term effects) of the community following the murder of Matthew Shepard, has gotten some folks riled up at a school in a small town in Texas.  Claiming inappropriate thematic material among other things, the School Board voted to cancel the planned production.  The students and some members of the community took matters into their own hands. What did they do and what was the result?  The Boys are spilling the tea and answering these questions as well as giving their own thoughts and perspectives on this scary and sad situation.

Kicking off this week's episode Mark is discussing a recent short trip to celebrate Christmas in March and Casey has been fighting and survived to tell us about it.  Trash Talk topics this week include a running mate for RFK Jr., the City Of Kenosha was asking for hole pics, and a new target on Fani Willis.

All this and recommendations (or wreck-o-mendations)??  The Boys have your seat waiting at the table for this week's kiki.  So pour yourself some fine port vintage, check your diaper, and get ready --- it's time to paint!

    The State Of The Dentures

    The State Of The Dentures

Welcome to Episode 179!  Once a year, POTUS travels to Capitol Hill for an evening meeting where they take to the podium, offering the 3 branches of government along with the American people, a view into the status of the country. The "status" meaning the successes and triumphs as well as the failures and challenges.  POTUS spells out plans to address the failure and challenges over the next year.  It's called The State Of The Union, if you don't know.

This year, The Dentures (President Joe Biden) took to the podium and gave a direct, truth-telling, real depiction of the difficulties the US is facing but offered up plans and  potential solutions for the country to thrive in the next year of his presidency.  This week, The Boys are breaking down what they heard, what they saw, and what they didn't in what many are calling, "the most important State Of The Union speech in history."  Mark & Casey are sharing their thoughts and posing a few questions too for this momentous occasion.

But first up, The Boys are reviewing the night of stars at the 98th Annual Academy Awards.  Who wore what?  What won? Were there shockers?  Mark & Casey are spilling the tea on this year's awards and reacting to highlights of the evening.  These Boys sure do love film and regardless, it's always a night of celebration and art.

This week's Trash Talk topics include a few updates on previous stories and a horrifying reason a worker was stuck at work.  All this and two recommendations for your reading, listening, and/or viewing pleasure.

This one's chocked full of tea and trash! So pour yourself a fresh glass of port vintage and pull up a seat at the table with your gay BFFs. Get ready, it's time to paint!
