If you know: First time motherhood in a pandemic

If you know: First time motherhood in a pandemic

Welcome to the VERY FIRST EPISODE of Parenthood, If you know you know. I am so excited to finally see this day come as this podcast has very much been a passion project of mine. I hope that it provides people with some validation and a feeling of support because parenthood is no joke and we shouldn't have to do it alone.
In this intro episode, I talk to Cherelle, who is my long-time friend of mine, and almost was the co-host for this podcast. However, as many parents know, new parenthood is HARD, and as much as we want to be the same person, with the same life, it's a transition and sometimes we have to let things go temporarily for the sake of our well being. Cherelle and I talk about that experience, and how her journey through adjusting to new motherhood played a role in her having to step back from the podcast for a bit. We also talk about so much more from all the shame and stigma that moms can feel in those early days to navigating the ups and downs of this new life. I hope you enjoy this episode and get a taste of what I hope this podcast will be because there is so much we don't get to talk about and it's certainly time we start.
As mentioned in the podcast, if you are from Connecticut and are looking for a lactation consultant, please check out https://www.forresterlactation.com/ and reach out to Susan if you could benefit from the support!
