Meet Dr Marco a Belizaire founder of Athletics DC.

Meet Dr Marco a Belizaire founder of Athletics DC.

Dr. Marco A. Belizaire received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, in Teaneck, NJ granted by a Track scholarship. Although enrolled in the Pre-med program with full intentions of becoming a surgeon, his heart was being woed elsewhere, looking for different ways to deal with ones health. Having never been to a Chiropractor, but hearing about it, a few years later he enrolled in the program and while there he listened to a speaker say one of the most profound words he had ever heard, “The body is a self healing organism, the power that made the body will heal the body.” The decision was made; both his heart and his intellect agreed that he was in the right profession. #realtalkianandeian

Dr. Belizaire earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in 1993 from Life Chiropractic College, now Life University in Marietta, Georgia.
In the year 2000 Dr. Belizaire’s heart and passion called him to work in the country of Costa Rica, Central America as their Olympic team Chiropractor and member of the Olympic Technical Committee; afterwards to the neighboring country of Panama where he has founded and established A.G.A.P.E Chiropractic Center, the countries largest Chiropractic clinic. He travels once a month to Panama to serve the needs of his patients and promote the benefits of chiropractic and wellness care to his countrymen, even educating and demonstrating through radio and television. Being bilingual enhances the effectiveness of educating his patients and the public by empowering them to make wise decisions concerning their health, life and well-being.

As a former Olympic athlete, he translates the knowledge and expertise of a keen understanding of biomechanical functions of the human body as it relates to increased peak performance from a neuro-musculoskeletal point of view, combined with extensive post graduate training in Sports Chiropractic to work with many Olympic teams, individual world records holders, world and Olympic champions. He encourages his patients to experience the benefits of chiropractic care from the newborn to the elderly, and promotes the enhancement of overall well being whether a weekend athlete, elite or professional athlete.

He is married to his lovely wife Virginia and has four children, Stephen and Sterling and the twins Marquis Antonio and Miranda Victoria. He is very strong in his Christian faith and active in his church Faith Christian Center, Smyrna, GA.
