The Science of Awakening Your Non-Self with Clement Decrop

The Science of Awakening Your Non-Self with Clement Decrop

The Science of Awakening Your Non-Self

    Take away:
To embark on a journey of personal growth by continually questioning, learning, and striving to see beyond the surface-level illusions that constrain so many people's perceptions of what is possible.

    Money Learnings:
Clement Decrop grew up where money came in the form of a reward  system for doing well in school. His parents would give him 1 dollar to 5 dollars based on his grades on his report card - 5 dollars for an A, 4 dollars for a B, etc. Even though it wasn't a lot of money, it was motivating for him as a kid, as he could save up and buy things like $40 video games back then. This reward system taught him to value money from a young age and incentivized him to perform well academically.

    Bio:
Clement Decrop is a master inventor with 50+ patents filed, public speaker, and author of "The Idea Space: Awakening Your Non-Self"

    Highlights from this episode:
Exploring the concept of an "idea space" - a mental model for understanding the mind based on physics and general relativity.
The importance of mindfulness practices like meditation and focusing on the breath to cultivate presence and gratitude.
Strategies for letting go of attachments and reducing the intensity of negative emotions.
The value of reading widely and exposing yourself to different perspectives to challenge your perception of reality.
Techniques like negative visualization and "last time" meditation from Stoic philosophy to build resilience.
Raising children with the right balance of struggle and support to instill grit and wisdom.
Reframing societal norms and systems as "veils of illusion" can blind us from deeper truths about existence.

How to Succeed When Everyone Expects You to Fail with Jonathan Beskin

How to Succeed When Everyone Expects You to Fail with Jonathan Beskin

How to Succeed When Everyone Expects You to Fail

    Take away:
Challenges early on, while difficult, can be the fire that forges your inner strength. If you believe in yourself and your abilities, you can exceed other's low expectations. Never let your humble beginnings limit your ambition. Turn adversity into advantage.

    Money Learnings:
Jonathan's childhood was challenging financially and he felt deprived compared to his wealthy peers. He didn't receive any substantive money education as a child and had to figure it out himself later through entrepreneurial trial and error. This gave him motivation to build his own success.

    Bio:
Serial entrepreneur Jonathan Beskin built his first company, a women’s lifestyle subscription box, from a pre-revenue idea to over $60 million in revenue in under five years. An investor in multiple private companies and startups, he has twice been featured in the prestigious Inc. 5000 list. Beskin is a digital advertising and e-commerce expert; he often speaks at conferences and academic institutions. He holds an MBA in finance from Florida Atlantic University.

    Highlights from this episode:
It's vital to keep pivoting in business - be flexible, and keep learning and adapting as things change. Nothing lasts forever.
When starting a business, do as much yourself initially to really understand it before bringing in others. This allows you to better evaluate outside help.
Having a healthy obsession, and always keeping your brain occupied on positive, beneficial activities can lead to an abundant life. Idle time can lead to negativity.
Don't make decisions based on what others think - trust your own judgment. Listen to yourself.
Be willing to put yourself out there and be vulnerable - you never know what opportunities it can create when you open up.
The choice is yours daily - take action or just consume. Turn off the TV and get to work on your dreams.

Creating a Wealthy Life with Krisstina Wise

Creating a Wealthy Life with Krisstina Wise

    Creating a Wealthy Life

    Take away:
Money is a tool that should enable you to live a fulfilling life, not be the sole focus. Having clarity on your ideal lifestyle, relationships, and experiences is crucial. Then determine the amount of money needed to support that vision. Don't get caught in the trap of chasing more money for money's sake. Instead, focus first on personal growth, self-worth, purpose, and making a positive difference. With financial education and mindset shifts, money can be managed effectively to serve your life goals rather than become an all-consuming end in itself. The key is balancing priorities - money matters but should not override health, family, purpose, and inner peace. Use money wisely to live well.

    Money Learnings:
Krisstina grew up in poverty, living in a trailer home and relying on food stamps and government assistance. Her parents were uneducated and fought constantly about money, often violently. As a child, Krisstina associated money with these traumatic fights and grew to fear it. She felt money was an unsafe topic that would lead to chaos and conflict if brought up. With no financial education or role models, Krisstina was scared of and avoided money matters for much of her early life. This led her to be financially illiterate and anxiously avoidant when it came to money and finance.

    Bio:
Krisstina Wise has made it her life's work to master money. She's a self-made millionaire with training and study under some of the business world's most sage and seasoned mentors. Her systems for wealth creation work - in both good and challenging times. After nearly losing her life in 2013 and spending almost one-half of a million dollars to recover, her mission is no to inspire others to build extraordinary wealth and optimal health. She is a best-selling author and international speaker. With never-ending enthusiasm for money and a passion for helping people build wealth, Krisstina Wise and her money school will change the way you spend and invest to ensure you build wealth and optimal health.

    Highlights from this episode:
Money is something many people struggle with due to lack of education, poor role models, and cultural assumptions. Understanding basic financial principles is key to building wealth.
Have clarity on what you want from life - your ideal lifestyle, relationships, experiences. Then determine how much money you need for that.
Take action - you can study and plan forever but you need to take action and get in the game to achieve results and learn. Adjust as you go.
Running a business requires financial intelligence. Learn how to read your financial statements and make profitability a priority.
Money is a tool that enables you to live the life you want. Focus on self-worth, purpose, and making a difference, not just making more money.
