Sawbones: Vampire Facials
You may have seen some celebrities or influencers on social media getting something called a Vampire Facial. It's exactly what it sounds like: blood spread on the face like a cream mask. But why would anyone do this unless it's supposed to do something for the skin? Dr. Sydnee and Justin draw out where this trend came from and its questionable benefits.

Sawbones: CPR
Squishing someone’s heart and blowing air into them to bring them back to life seems so basic, so why weren’t we able to agree on it for the past few hundred years? This week on Sawbones, Dr. Sydnee gives an overview of the evolution of CPR which, despite what movies and TV would have you believe, isn’t quite an infinite cheat code for avoiding death.

Sawbones: Lazarus Syndrome
What if someone was declared dead . . . only for their heart to start beating again? The best
I love this! Started form the first episode and after 5/6 episodes I’m convinced this is the best thing on the internet, or at least for people with an interest in medicine. Lucky me that there a lot more episodes, thanks for making this!
Hilariously funny
Stumbled across this podcast through TryPod, where another podcaster was talking about this one. So I tried it, ended up downloading ALL episodes and started from the beginning.
Just finished the lobotomy episode. Horrifying yet hilariously interesting. Can't wait for better weather so that I can cycle to work and listen to this podcast while doing so :) Greetings from Amsterdam
Wonderful and family friendly podcast!
It's lightly informative and very endearing. A relaxing and amusing show that's easy to listen to. Mr. and Mrs. McElroy talk to the listener directly instead of just jabbing on to each other like a lot of podcasts.
