BTS podcasting life with Zoe Edwards

BTS podcasting life with Zoe Edwards

A behind the scenes chat with Zoe Edwards. Her sewing podcast Check Your Thread keeps her motivated. Actually her manifesto is what drives Zoe's podcast.
    What drives your podcast?
Everyone wants to podcast about a topic that is close to their hearts. That's what both Zoe and I do every week and in this episode we chat on about the processes behind making a sewing podcast, or any podcast for that matter.
As always in this episode I've edited it so you hear Zoe's personal dedication to her podcast as it fulfills much of her manifesto. Any new podcast Zoe may develop in the future will also fulfill the aspects of her very personal manifesto. She's really interesting to listen to and learn from.

    Feedswapping with Zoe Edwards

    Feedswapping with Zoe Edwards

Zoe Edwards has just finished a very successful Me Made May 2024. She's here to Feed swap from her podcast Check your thread.
We're sharing one podcast episode next week from our own archives. This is really exciting to know 1 episode from Sew Organised Style will forever be available on Check your thread podcast.
However this week we're playing a variation on '20 questions'.
In today's episode, we delve into the feedswapping concept.
I've never heard about feedswapping and I am thankful to Zoe for proposing this entertaining initiative, which is our focus today.
Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to listen to both of our podcasts. We have each edited the same recording in our unique styles.
As a heads up, you'll realise that our version of '20 questions' will be included in the next podcast with Zoe 'BTS podcasting life'.
Many people want to podcast and our podcast experience will help you understand how the hard work behind the scenes using much of our sewing time and has its rewards.

    Dell

    Dell

Dell is an avid sewist, a SewOver50 follower and a very supportive listener of this sewing podcast.
She learned to sew from her grandmothers and Dell discusses the value of the sewing teaching by Mary Brooks Picken.
Dell saved lots of money sewing her dresses for vocal performances using Bemberg lining because it was more affordable than silk fabric was. She is a classically trained vocalist...like an opera singer.

SewOver50 intersects with all communities. SewOver50 where we are so over ageism.
Our focus is the sewing talent each person shares on social media and providing recognition of their willingness to share their skills whether a beginner or experienced sewist.
Make sure you listen to your SewOver50 friends in our SewOver50 podcast archive.

Mitch was in Series 8 of the Great British Sewing Bee in 2022.
During lockdown he learned how to sew and knit and after sewing for 3 months, he entered the Sewing Bee.
In series 8 there were over 8,000 applications for the Great British Sewing Bee so he was in the top 12. If you're interested in TV production or have entered for Series 11, listen to the inside world of producing The Great British Sewing Bee.
