Favorite Underdog Fantasy Best Ball Values at the Running Back Position

The running back position has changed in the NFL and that has changed it's value in fantasy football. We are seeing more people draft Zero-RB. The volatility of the position makes it a risky investment. That volatility can also bring quick value spikes in just one play. Every year we see guys like Raheem Mostert or Kyren Williams go from late round or undrafted to league winners. Here are my favorite running back values on Underdog Fantasy right now.

We start a new series on Five Minute Fantasy Football. This week we tackle some Underdog Fantasy Football Best Ball values and sleepers. To define a "sleeper" or a "value" we are going to only talk about players outside of the top 100 average draft position (ADP). Each episode will target a different position and the first episode is Favorite QB Best Ball Values.

Underdog does a great job making data available for you. What they tell us about quarterbacks, the zero-QB cutoff is Round 14 or pick 168. Teams getting their QB1 in Rounds 3 and 4 have scored the most regular season points. The sweet spot for your QB2 is Rounds 8-11. Three quarterbacks has been an optimal strategy and the third quarterback can be grabbed after Round 16. Here are my favorite late round quarterback values for Underdog Fantasy in 2024.

Last year we had an amazing class that was headlined by Sam LaPorta and Dalton Kincaid. The year before that we had Trey McBride and before that was Kyle Pitts. This season we got Brock Bowers to add to this group of young studs. Of course we still have some veterans. Even with Darren Waller retiring, we have several veterans and finally have some depth at the position. The bottom has gotten better and the top has come back to reality, making a big difference on fantasy football draft strategy.
