TGIF or Thank God For A New Sneak Attack Episode (TGFANSAE)
From their attic far away in the United States the group creating Sneak Attack consistently provides me in the Netherlands the feeling I am sitting directly at their table, not only partaking in their banter and victories over enemies but also their anguish and loss of in-game friends.
Although some podcasts feel ‘overproduced’ for me, the editing, music and sound effects do not distract from my experience but boost it which is increased even further by songs written purely for the podcast.
The world in which the adventure is set is very comprehensive resulting in more than sufficient mysteries, plot hooks and unanswered questions during the game. The amount of knowledges required to properly follow the podcasts is however limited sparing me the difficulties of tracking whole pantheons of gods and their relationships on paper while listening.
During the adventure all aspects of DnD like combat and role playing are incorporated. The players are also free to shape the adventure even though the events in the world surrounding them unfold. The characters furthermore adapt, grow and change throughout time which substantiates the high quality of the podcast.
Lastly it should be noted that the entire group has consistently provided a new episode every Friday during the last year or more I am listening.
I therefore think that sneak attack is a podcast which not only consists of a very sympathetic group of people but also provides a high quality podcast with an easily accessible, interesting and well balanced story that incorporates all aspects of DnD.
