Shaq recounts his scare with Covid (which he didn't have), talks about Jonathan Isaac and the NBA Bubble and props up Ellen in the wake of cancel culture on The Big Podcast with Shaq

Shaquille O'Neal had a scare this week... he developed a cough, and congestion, and thought he had coronavirus. Thankfully all his tests were negative and it was just a summer head cold... so he's officially back in the mix. We get the big man's thoughts on Jonathan Isaac, his terrible injury and the fallout from his Black Lives Matter question. And we have to get Shaq's take on cancel culture coming for Ellen, and Shaq supports her by saying he never saw anything like that on her set, and how sometimes he is a tough boss with people but it doesn't mean he is rude. Of course we get Borderline, and it's the return of Black Crime or White Crime! And of course Shaq has to stand up for Lou Williams, in the wake of his Magic City strip club fallout in Atlanta, but he and John disagree on what he did to his team. And Shaq talks about swimming with Whale Sharks on his annual return to Shark Week, and how scared he was when the shark bumped him in the water. We even get the big man's thoughts on Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr, Kanye West, the public reveal of UFO information, of course we get Borderline, and we play a round of Buzzer Beater. Shaquille O'Neal and Kenny Smith discuss the state of the NBA and share some hilarious TNT stories on The Big Podcast with Shaq

Shaq opens the show by talking about how he is NOT going into the NBA bubble in Orlando, and lays out what he knows about TNT's studio plans as their Emmy-winning show returns next week. And stick around for our AMAZING conversation with Shaq's co-worker Kenny Smith, who shares his thoughts about the NBA bubble, shares some amazing Shaq stories from the set of Inside the NBA on TNT, and how he's trying to help kids without camps this summer. We also joke about how Shaq wouldn't survive in the bubble, especially in light of Stephen A Smith's comments that NBA players are going to struggle with being away from their wives and girlfriends. Shaq also has some nice words for Avery Bradley, who has opted out of the season, and while most people are bashing him, Shaq commends him. This is a gem. Shaq and his co-hosts are genuine and hilarious. Superstar guests are always on the menu. I highly recommend listening to old episodes in addition to new ones.
