Barbara Peacock is a photographer and director living in Portland, Maine. Since having started American Bedroom in 2016, she has won the Getty Editorial Grant, the Women Photograph/Getty Grant, three LensCulture Awards, four Top 50 Critical Mass Awards, and was named one of the Top 100 Photographers in America 2020. American Bedroom is an unfiltered poetic photographic journey viewing Americans in their most intimate dwelling: the bedroom. The nature of the project is unguarded portraits of individuals, couples, and families that reveal the depth of their character, truth, and spirit. The images are paired with quotes from each subject and are full of subtle details that invite us to contemplate the idiosyncrasies of each enigmatic life. TCF Ep. 618 - Nick Carver

Nick Carver is a working photographer and photography instructor based in Southern California with over eighteen years shooting experience and a professional career spanning more than a decade. Although his teaching and commercial work hinges primarily on digital photography, his passion is fueled by a love for analog film and creating fine art prints. Nick has sought to educate, entertain, and inspire other photographers both in the classroom and through his YouTube videos where he takes viewers “on location” or into the lab to see what happens behind the lens when a photo is created. When he’s not teaching aspiring amateurs or working on an architectural photoshoot you’ll likely find him peering at the ground glass of a panoramic view camera in the deserts of the American Southwest. TCF Ep. 617 - Robbie Quinn

Robbie Quinn is an award-winning, New York–based commercial photographer specializing in environmental portraits. His work, which has brought him to more than a dozen countries, speaks to current issues, including race, immigration, gender identity, and sexual orientation, with an emphasis on promoting diversity and inclusion. In a world where stores, clothes, and trends have become increasingly standardized, fashion is one of the most powerful ways to explore and express our personalities, identities, and individuality. For years, renowned photographer Robbie Quinn has encountered style rebels and bold expressionists on the streets of NYC and the world’s largest cities, stopping them for impromptu photoshoots and testimonials. He’s even named these eccentric lovers of style Street Unicorns. In the pages of Street Unicorns, Quinn shares the portraits, viewpoints, and aspirations of more than 250 Street Unicorns, hoping to inspire readers to rediscover the most authentic parts of themselves. Refreshing

The Candid Frame is one of my favorite podcasts. Reason is the excellent choice of guests and their great stories they have to tell us but also the non intrusive way of conducting the interviews by Ibarionex is very refreshing!

Truly a must-hear podcast on photography and being a photographer

It shows that more than often the guests on Ibarionex's show thank him for asking a particular question and express gratitude for not only being invited but for the great conversation they have had with him. Having a conversation instead of doing an interview is what a good interlocutor makes an excellent one. Ibarionex and his guests have introduced me to a lot of new photographers and I am really grateful for that! Vincent van Kleef, The Netherlands

it’s all about the essence

One of the few photography podcasts about the essence of photography and what drives photographers.
