    Jaycee and Tia are joined by Dr. Maya Kuczma from her home in Vancouver.

    Dr. Kuczma is  a licensed Naturopathic Doctor at the Integrative Naturopathic Medical Center in Vancouver. She  has  a special interest in a functional medicine approach to treating autoimmune diseases.  She emphasizes identifying the root cause of disease and sourcing life-style based tools like nutrition counseling and nervous system regulation.

    In this episode, Tia shares her story about living with  auto-immune diseases and Dr. Kuczma shares her wealth of wisdom about environmental stressors, how our emotions can give us insight into creating health boundaries, and more.

She found her true calling upon discovering a lack of authentic Filipino food in the city and deciding to do something about it.  She now owns Jeepney, a restaurant in NYC and Miami and is the author of the cookbook I Am Filipino: And This Is How We Cook.
