This podcast contains stories, opinions, interviews, and experiences that aims to raise awareness about the disparity in an attempt to bridge the gap between genders in Indian sport. The disparity between genders in sport in India, although improving, is enormous. At the age of 10, when I approached a cricket academy to learn the sport, I was told they don’t teach girls, and, it is the lack of encouragemen that creates this vicious cycle. This podcast aims at slowly chipping away at that barrier to erase the notion that women can't play sports. Get in touch - podcastthegamechangers@gmail.com.

    Episode 09: Motherhood and Sportswoman

    Episode 09: Motherhood and Sportswoman

Hi Everyone! In this Episode, we discuss some examples of women who have become champions, while raising children and running a family - showing the true strength of a woman and the lack of truth in the norms created by society. I was extremely inspired by the dedication these woman had to their sport and can only hope to emmulate some of it. Hope you enjoy :)

Episode 08: An Interview with Suhani Bedi

Episode 08: An Interview with Suhani Bedi

Hi Everyone! Happy 2023 :) This first episode of the new year is one that I have been super excited for because I have interviewed Suhani Bedi, who not only is a woman in sport, but also a woman in the very niche sport of Ultimate Frisbee, and one that brilliantly manages a professional career alongside her international sporting career. I was so inspired by her journey, determination and dedication towards not only the sports she pursued but also her academics and work. This interview was really one of a kind, and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did while recording it - because not only will you be introduced to a all new sport, but also someone who should be an inspiration for all of us. For everyone looking to learn more about Ultimate Frisbee, here is a link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmZ77Yn3Fr4) for a video that covers the basics. Enjoy and see you soon :))

Episode 07: Steps in the Right Direction

Episode 07: Steps in the Right Direction

Hii! There have been so many good things that have happened that I had to make an episode JUST to discuss all of them, hope you get as excited about them as I did. On another note, this episode was the first episode that I recorded without a script, so pardon the ums, wrong choices of words and a bit of rambling, I hope to practice and get better! Would love any thoughts or feedback at podcastthegamechangers@gmail.com. See you soon :)

Hi Everyone! I’m back, sorry for the long delay.  In this episode of The Game Changers, we talk about some of my experiences, but mainly discuss some unknown and important firsts for Indian Women in sport. Additionally, he has been the national coach for the Thailand men’s and women’s team and the Maldives national team. Under his coaching, Thailand won the six nation women’s tournament and became eligible to play the World Cup Qualifiers. Under his many achievements, he has also been the assistant coach for the SunRisers Hyderabad, SRH, an IPL team. He was also one of the eligible candidates that had applied for the post of Indian Women’s Cricket National Coach in December 2018 and 2021. Episode 04: An Interview with Karunya Keshav.

Episode 04: An Interview with Karunya Keshav.

Hi Everyone! In this episode of The GameChangers, I had the privilege to be able to interview Karunya Keshav. Karunya Keshav is an independent sports writer. A lot of her writing is about cricket, and women in sport. Karunya is the co-author of the book 'The Fire Burns Blue', which is a history of women's cricket in India from the 1970s to around 2018. (I would definitely recommend this book for all those who haven't read it yet :)) The unique thing about this interview is the variety of stories talked about and the fact that her answers really allow new things to occur to you. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed listening to the answers! See you again next week :)
