Ep18 // The SECRETS behind Pete’s Pirate Life
In this episode, Pete might have convinced Matti to get a tattoo, and it involves fire! Pete also opens the book on his Pete’s Pirate Life brand. He digs into where it came from, his spin on creator merch and physical products, and why it’s become a success. He goes so far as to say that Pete’s Pirate Life may be more on-brand for him than the ‘Peter McKinnon’ brand. They also dig into the country-life, and how awesome the smell of the bonfire is.

Ep17 // Our FIRST travel experience in over a YEAR was… interesting
The guys debrief together on their recent experience tank fillings! They both ended up in British Columbia at separate times for separate reasons, but reminisce on things like, going to a restaurant, parking at an airport, experiencing… something! They also tank a jaunt down Christopher Nolan movies and Pete tries to make sense of Tenet, which is impossible. Pete then quizzes Matti on his snowboard jargon before the Canon battery charge sound triggers Matti.

Ep16 // Are Tutorials DEAD?! Our channels have changed…
In this 35 minute episode, the guys start off by chatting about how they may aim for the podcast to be 15 to 20 minutes long… an A for effort guys! But the guys dig into what the futures of their channels are, and how much the ‘content creator’ space has changed since they started. Before it was just YouTube videos, now there’s Reels, Stories, Fleets, TikTok, Shorts, IGTV, etc. - leaving them always wondering if they did enough at the end of the day. They get into the future of their channels, and what content they're looking forward to making!

Ep15 // Pete is getting RID of ALL his CAMERAS
The guys finally reconvene after lockdown and dig deep into what this second lockdown has been like for them… they come to the most logical conclusion that Pete must sell his office and move back in with Matti! The guys also talk about filling up the experience tank and Matti recently filled his up by renting a U-Haul. Pete is reading 2 books a month and has learned about choice paralysis, and how he’s cleaning everything out at home, and his office!

We dig into the magic that goes into the Apple computational photography system from chip, to lens, to software, to all the math that happens when you press that camera button!
We also ask the real hard hitting questions of if they are front pocket iPhone people or back pocket iPhone people. The results are split.
The guys also pitch the idea of them getting invited to the secret lab where they create and test all the iPhone cameras. They said they’ll have to get back to us. -

Captain Kirk joins us this episode! We dive into Kirk’s story from architecture school, to working for secret companies, and ultimately coming to make a delicious hot sauce with Peter… oh and also being his editor, but not JUST an editor… His partner in crime.
Kirk spills the (coffee) beans about what Pete is like as a boss. Plus more secrets are revealed too, Kirk may or may not have planted hidden easter eggs in many Pete’s videos— find them if you can!

Matti and Pete are entertaining with sharing their knowledge, what keeps them busy etc. For me as an Online Marketeer their podcasts are very inspiring and give a lot of insights (YouTube, social media, collaborations and sponsorships)which are new for me.
Content creation at it’s finest
Two of your favorite YouTubers take the time to talk to each other about everything creatives find interesting. The only downside of this podcast is the upload schedule, they should do more! Matti and Pete have great chemistry, really cool guys. Definitely a five star Podcast.
Please make them Non-Explicit
Hey Matti and Pete, in case you guys don’t know, everybody under 16 has your podcast restricted because it is marked as “explicit”. If you bleep out the swear words then you should be fine and it should get removed. I would love to be able to hear your podcast on my way to school or back home, as I’m sure many other people would. You guys are awesome! Keep making awesome content!
