Harry Potter Gets a Disney Character Recast!

Harry Potter Gets a Disney Character Recast!

    Prince Eric as Harry Potter
He has dark hair and…would look good in glasses? And he has Lily’s eyes (at least the movie Lily’s…)
    Alfredo Linguini as Ron Weasley
This comes down to how you view Ron. And we see him as the trying too hard bumbling sidekick (sorry Ron…)
    Tiana as Hermione Granger
Driven and needs a time-turner to be able to meet all the goals and do all the things. She has the future Minister of Magic written all over her.
    Merida as Ginny Weasley
She is not afraid to play with the boys and become the best in her chosen sport. And she has those rambunctious brothers to keep in line (and laugh with).
    Russell as Neville Longbottom
He is the sweet, worried friend who wants help, even if it means standing up for his friends. And to his friends! The wilderness (and herbology) must be explored!
    Rapunzel as Luna Lovegood
Dreamy-eyed and barefoot, no other Disney character captures the whimsy and individualism of Luna Lovegood. She doesn’t quite fit in, and she loves it that way (and Flynn loves her that way too!)
    Prince Hans as Draco Malfoy
Draco’s family situation has created a boy who is either the awful bully or the whimpering victim. And we assume Hans’ big brothers had a lot to do with how two-faced Hans ends up in Frozen.
    King Fergus as Rubeus Hagrid
Super intimidating on the outside, a total teddy bear on the inside. But if you push around his loved ones he will flip a switch and come after you!
    Queen Elinor as Minerva McGonagall
Scottish accent and an affinity for “wearing” fur coats. What else doesn’t this woman have in common with Professor McGonagall?
    Merlin as Albus Dumbledore
Long white beard, a pointy hat, and helps his protege grow into the leader who will help his people out of the fear of the “dark” ages. If he’s not Dumbledore, we don’t know who is.

Are These Disney Park "Essentials" Really Necessary for Your Next Disney Vacation?

Are These Disney Park "Essentials" Really Necessary for Your Next Disney Vacation?

The internet is full of Disney vacation hacks and items to make your time in the Disney Parks easier and more comfortable, especially with kiddos. But are these items making your vacation easier or just loading you down with more stuff? Here are the items from this Buzzfeed list we both agree could make your next Disney vacation not only easier but more comfortable!
A hat is a necessity. It keeps the sun off your face and when your hair is hot and sweaty and no longer curled to photo perfection (ladies, you know what I mean) it can still help you look put together and cute. If you don’t want to spend the extra money on a hat in the park, there are so many great choices on Etsy that will keep the sun off and be a subtle Disney nod to any outfit.
Blame COVID for society’s love for hand sanitizer, but we hate the feeling of sticky hands from all the yummy goodies we love to eat. Plus, in the summer vacation heat, it feels good to wash a little bit of the salty sweat off and feel a bit refreshed.
Okay, we can’t confirm that this stroller is as amazing as it looks. But we love a smaller stroller to pop on the back of the larger stroller so that if two or three of your littles get tired, there is an extra stroller to whip out when needed. The more compact, the better!
We have strong-willed, toddler runners in our family. We have used wrist leashes to help the kiddos who want to run but are too tiny to see in a crowd stay safe and content. But we love the idea of a cute backpack to store some snacks and toys in that has a leash hooked in as well. And this one has little dino spikes so it’s also like a baby cosplay!
When it’s hot and you are sweating a ton as you run from ride to ride, a shot of electrolytes is amazing to give your body a little boost. We haven’t had this brand specifically, but we swear by electrolytes to help keep dehydration at bay. And it can help the Disney Park water taste better too 😊

Is the Sound of Music Iconic or Sappy?

Is the Sound of Music Iconic or Sappy?

Most Important Characters - Maria, Mother Abbess, and Captain Von Trapp
It is the story of Maria and Captain Von Trapp, but ultimately the Mother Abbess is the one who keeps these two headed towards each other. And the nuns all end up saving the family in the end!
    Least Important Character - Rolf
When we looked at characters the story could have done without, it was hard to choose one! The Sound of Music is so well written there aren’t any characters that aren’t important for one way or another. But. When we looked at the role of Rolf, if his relationship with Lisel just didn’t exist, the movie would lose charm (No “16 Going on 17??”) but we feel like all the characters would still end up where they did in the end.
What if Maria had become a nun after she runs away from the Von Trapp family and the Captain’s affections? Would Maria have a better life or Captain Von Trapp?
Maria as a nun. It just doesn’t fit her character! But we think Captain Von Trapp at least would see and understand his children, thanks to Maria’s example. So he would have them to focus on moving forward without her. But Maria would have just been sad and lonely 🙁
What if Captain Von Trapp had been taken to join the military before they were able to escape at the music festival?
This would have taken this movie from a wholesome musical to a dark military film. All of a sudden the family would have been ripped apart and the Captain would have sacrificed himself for them leaving Maria to raise the children alone during World War II. Ouch…😢
Most Underrated Scene - the Break-Up Scene
If you want to watch a calm, collected, and clearly communicated break-up, the scene between the Captain and the Baroness is very well done. Both communicate what they need and where they are at. Then when it doesn’t match up, they respectfully say goodbye. Bravo, not easy to do!
Overall, this movie lives up to its iconic status.
The story and writing are all essential while still warm-hearted and charming. No explosions or gags just to have them. Everything is purposeful and done with class and taste. Sorry internet, we disagree big time 🙂

What are the Best Star Wars Series on Disney Plus?

What are the Best Star Wars Series on Disney Plus?

From animated to live-action, Disney Plus offers many different Star Wars adventures for Star Wars fans of all ages and interests. Here’s what Star Wars show you should check out next to celebrate May the 4th!
Best Animated Series for Corban - The Clone Wars
“It’s like reading the Harry Potter books. It’s a big commitment!” But once you have gone through it once and you are familiar with the storylines and characters it introduces, you can dip back into your favorite parts and relive the best storylines! And it sets up Ahsoka, The Bad Batch, and The Mandalorian. So if you feel like something doesn’t make sense, The Clone Wars is the encyclopedia to refer back to😂
Best Animated Series for Camari - Star Wars Rebels
If you love the original trilogy, then this series will feel that nostalgia. It’s the beginning of the Rebellion so several original trilogy characters pop up including Princess Leia and Old Ben Kenobi. Also, you get a glimpse at what happened to some of the Jedi who survived Order 66.
But Don’t Sleep On The Bad Batch!
The cast of characters in this show is so fun and compelling! Watching this rag-tag group of clones bounce off each other while unraveling just what the Emperor is up to right after Revenge of the Sith. Season three just wrapped up, so now is the time to binge the entire series.
Must Watch Live-Action Star Wars Series for Corban - Andor
If you liked Rogue One, then Andor is the Star Wars show you need to check out this weekend! It has the same dark, gritty feel of the movie with a thriller vibe. Who was Cassian Andor before Rogue One? His origin story is all right here. And season 2 is coming out sometime this year! 🤞🏼
Must Watch Live-Action Star Wars Series for Camari - Obi-Wan Kenobi
For anyone who loves the original trilogy, this takes A New Hope and gives it extra fun depth. If you want to see Darth Vader at his most powerful (and brutal), see Leia’s family dynamic, and experience how beautiful her home planet of Alderaan is, this mini-series is for you.
Enjoy this episode? We have good news! If you want more episodes, become a paid subscriber for access to extended and additional Neverland Files episodes! We set up Star Wars characters on blind dates this week and there are some surprising relationships pairings that coooouuuuuuld have potential.
