Episode 191 Richie Garcia
This week on the Live to Walk Again Podcast we had the chance to speak with Richie Garcia who is a Disability Advocate and Spinal Cord Injury Survivor. We talked about the motorcycle accident that resulted in his spinal cord injury, transitioning home and out of the "hospital bubble", and his plans to travel to Columbia next week for a stem cell therapy at BioXcellerator. We also chatted about the price of the therapy, traveling such a long distance, and information around the logistics once he is in Columbia. We will be having Richie back on the show shortly to discuss his experience and get first-hand accounts of the positives and negatives of this trip. Episode 189 Tyler Dunham
This week on the Live to Walk Again Podcast we were lucky enough to get a visit from Tyler Dunham who is a Spinal Cord Injury Survivor and one of the most motivational people we've ever had on the show. Tyler tells us his whole story from ending up in prison for a couple of years in his early adulthood to coming out and earning a Masters Degree in becoming a bodybuilder to suffering a spinal cord injury last year in a tragic snowboarding accident. We also discussed the role his family and friends have played in his recovery, which clinical trials he's interested in, and the state of the Spinal Cord Injury Community.
