Living with Self-Driving Cars (with Bike Curious)

For most of us, autonomous vehicles are this nebulous concept that might appear some time in our future, but there are other people living with this reality today - whether they like it or not.

Europe Spends More on Roads than Rails (with Real Time History)

Europe is known for its train networks, and the EU has been promoting trains as the preferred mode of travel. But the train networks are not functioning well, and it's not a coincidence that many EU countries are spending twice as much on roads than they do on rails.

10 Years Car-Free (with Mrs. NJB)

It occurred to us the other day that we have lived 10 years without owning a car. This didn't happen intentionally, we just moved to a walkable neighbourhood and living car-free just made the most sense.

Like cities?
You’ll love this podcast!

The Urbanist Agenda is just two people talking about things that have to do with cities & infrastructure, but as the host is Jason Slaughter of Not Just Bikes fame, the production is slick and the guests are interesting.

Demonising is making your content unhealthy

I've always enjoyed "Not Just Bikes" and it's shown me the wonders of Dutch city planning. Yet, lately, I feel Jason leans too heavily on contrasting the Netherlands with North America, often casting the latter in a negative light. The content seems to be taking a political turn, which can be divisivee. I'd love to see the channel evolve and diversify its topics. Continuous comparisons and criticisms won't foster growth or understanding. It's key to remember that every region has its own unique strengths and challenges. If you have passion for walkable cities and urban design and prefer lives in the Netherland than Canada, that's completely great and you don't need a reason to justify that you don't have to demonise North America and convince yourself you would have died if you stayed there. because this is obviously delusional and simply untrue and you better believe this dishonesty will have an effect on the content you put out I would really appreciate just for you to talk normally for a bit. How is it for you guys as a couple in the Netherland, what other maybe cultural things have you noticed I know this is off topic to your podcast but just give us a bit more , rather than the endless ranting about the same subjects that you just keep talking more and more about oh my God, it is so f***ing good in the Netherlands and so f***ing bad in North America. We get it!!!! I hope this review convinces you to just take a break and focus more on what you love then what you don't love… or you might just demonise me as well :) Jason, you’re a talented and smart person, and I’m thirsty for more of you. (In the most respectful way!)
