Seeing the real world inside a virtual one

Seeing the real world inside a virtual one

On this episode of The Vergecast, the fourth and final installment of our series on the five senses of video games, we asked Polygon’s Charlie Hall to help us make sense of the current state of the art in flight simulation. Hall, who once spent more than four months in VR mapping the edge of the Milky Way galaxy in Elite: Dangerous, has more experience in a virtual cockpit than most. We wanted to know how the pros set up their simulators to get the most realistic experience and why it’s so complicated to make a virtual world look like the real one.

Love the podcast

But get back the timeline of subjects @ show notes. Made things a lot easier.

Also, please stop kissing Google’s *ss

Hmmmmmm ... No

Strange combination of personal ideas brought out as general opinion and unprofessional attitude, not all of the people involved are really capable of any serious suggestion - in any case you cant trust it unfortunately. Nilay and Paul sometimes is the only capable people from all involved, for the rest its looking like some sort of 'disrespectful friends club' joined by strongly opinionated and 'one sided' unprofessionals or quite often just extremists or even simple racists who only busy with shameless selfpromotion... Not worth the time spending, actually do not understand why it still exist?

Best podcast from Vox Media

Fun podcast mixing interested topics with laughs. A podcast that I always seem to revert back to. There is a nice synergy between Dieter, Nilay and Paul that I haven’t found elsewhere. The shows hosts all things internet, gadgets and everything behind the scene that makes the connected world tick. Highly recommend!
