As creators we often to struggle to strike a balance between satiating our creative instinct and utilising it to make someone’s life better. While almost all creators I’ve met come from a place of empathy for at least one person (themselves), in the most trivial case, most of them quickly realise that the response to their product is not as good as they hoped.

I recently spoke to Anuj Shah (Product at Delhivery), Aayush Aggarwal (Founder and creator of Kapwise and Kapnix) and Gautam Padiyar (Founder and creator of Turtlewig). We touched on consumer behaviour in emerging markets and matching customer needs to product. It turned out to be a very interesting and insightful conversation. It also includes a passionate argument (as passionate as product creators can afford to be) over shortcomings of office and productivity tools.
