One of the more controversial topics in personal finance is the BTID vs. VUL debate. Which one is better? In this episode we dissect the BTID system and how it can work to your advantage or to your disadvantage. We'll do this without pulling down the VUL product since both will definitely have pros and cons depending on your preference.

We discuss what is BTID, who is this suited for, what to consider when using this system and how to maybe use this system based on our personal preferences.

The only reason why this debate has always been controversial is because believers of the BTID system feels that theirs is the only system that's effective and there is this need to be right in this debate. The same goes for VUL believers. For us, there is not one system that is perfect - we just have to find what's the right system for ourselves without envying what others are doing. Hopefully, this episode helps.
