We talk about WB the same way people talk about Disney.

I've been a fan of Warner Brothers ever since the very first time I went to the movie theater at three years old, the movie was Who Framed Roger Rabbit and the moment was when Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse fell through the sky together. Ever since then I thought of Warner and Disney as parallel synergistic entities.

Even through the 90s where they had the 2nd generation of Looney Tunes with Spielberg's Tiny Toons Adventures, Animaniacs, Freakazoid, and Histeria and Batman and Superman crossing over all on their own branded channel, The WB Network, high quality Batman films 20 years before the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Six Flags hosting the Looney Tunes and DC Comics characters and their Warner Brothers Studios Stores, Warner Bros was a force to be reckoned with.

About a week after AT&T bought Warner Brothers, I put together a podcast devoted to all things Warner Brothers entitled: The AT&WB Podcast.

AT&T sold WB to Discovery who now runs DC Comics, HBO, Looney Tunes, Hanna-Barbera, Game of Thrones, The Harry Potter Film Universe, and even Mad Max and The Matrix... The IPs go on and on.

It's the Warner Bender Podcast, with news about DC Comics and the Greater Warner Brothers Fandom, a term I completely made up!

Episode 45 - Discovery Buys WarnerMedia

Episode 45 - Discovery Buys WarnerMedia

On this incredibly special episode of The AT&WB Podcast, we say goodbye to the AT& portion of the podcast. AT&T has officially sold off it's stake in WB to the folks at Discovery Channel and David Zaslav, who Discovery discovered in 2006, is now steering the entire Warner Brothers boat.

He's making drastic decisions which seem to compromise the artist for the sake of saving a few bucks. We go over everything from the cancelation of BATGIRL, to the erasure of INFINITY TRAIN and the dropped original content on HBO Max to Discovery's breakdown of demographics and the incredibly rich history of systemic racism in the first 100 years of Warner Brothers.

Actor, creative director, friend and entertainment industry hound Brando Cutts joins me to WBreakdown the entirety of the buyout, the rumors of Henry Cavill's return, WB angering creatives such as Nolan and Legendary Entertainment, and I even find the perfect bat-shark repellant joke. We crunch every number from rotten tomato to every dollar SHAZAM made on DVD and Halle's Berry's CATWOMAN made in theaters!

Episode 44 - WBreakdown - The Batman With Grayson Leveque Of Gralaxy Productions

Episode 44 - WBreakdown - The Batman With Grayson Leveque Of Gralaxy Productions

It's our WBreakdown of Matt Reeves' THE BATMAN. I am joined by Grayson Leveque of the Gralaxy Productions YouTube Channel. We talk the similarities The Batman has with the Rebirth Batman. I delve deep in Morrison's run and we WBreakdown THE acting, THE directing, THE scope of the film, and THE psyche of THE Batman. Grayson also created the cover art for this weeks episode!

We also reminisce about family member John Leveque, Grayson's uncle who recently passed away in November 2021. John Leveque was the Supervising Sound Editor on both BATMAN FOREVER and BATMAN AND ROBIN. We talk about the stories he used to tell about recording sounds of actual bats in actual batcaves and the result was harrowing. The lengths John went for great sound effects!

All this and more on this THE AT&WBat Podcast!

Episode 43 - DCWverse Episode I - The Flash With Grayson Leveque

    The Flash (2014- )

On this episode of The AT&WB Podcast we WBreakdown the CW Network and DCWverse / Arrowverse series The Flash (2014- )!

The Flash superfan and our resident Flash Forensic Scientist Grayson Leveque, gives us run through (pun intended) of seasons one through seven of the series. We go over every Big Bad from each season, as well as the legacy characters played by the actors John Wesley Shipp, Mark Hamill, Amanda Pays, and Alex Desert, as well as Shipp and Hamill's time on Batman: Brave and the Bold.

We also go over the CW Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event that saw the melding of every DC Comics live-action TV series and movies. Earth-89, Earth-203 and all the other earths get a mention.

And since I have seen the entire run of John Wesley Shipp's turn as Barry on the 1990s Flash series, I go into infinite detail about the scene where they had Tiny Toon Adventure plush characters, and so much more!

And before you listen or after or simultaneously watch Grayson's Gralaxy Productions' super fun Lego short entitled "The Speed Limit" inside this link:

Episode 42 - The Matt-rix - Episode II - The Matrix Resurrections WBreakdown

Episode 42 - The Matt-rix - Episode II - The Matrix Resurrections WBreakdown

On this very special episode of the AT&WB Podcast we break down the fourth Matrix movie, the Matrix Resurrections!

In our second The Matt-rix episode Matt Vicari and Chris Bucca Taylor break down the multiple metaphors Lana planted within the new film. We examine the Trans narrative, the meta-narrative of Neo's journey and how Neo is Lana, and we even break down Trinity's narrative and what it means for women.

As we jack-in even further into the Matrix, we also bring up the video games, as well as what each character in this film ultimately represents. It's a perfect bow on the Matrix franchise and one that needed to be told.

Oh and most importantly we talk about the deep connection to Warner Brothers that is present in the narrative as well as the new Matrix character named Bugs who breaks Neo out of the Matrix. Bug Bunny being a trans icon and representative of the WB waking up the franchise kind of brings the Matrix meta-narrative neatly back to where it all originated.

Episode 41 - Character WBreakdown - Steven Universe With Jeremy Blum

Episode 41 - Character WBreakdown - Steven Universe With Jeremy Blum

On this very special episode of the podcast, I have on special co-host Jeremy Blum, who is a huge fan and lover of all things Steven Universe. We dive into the Steven Universe and I discover just how progressive and amazing this animated show truly is. Rebecca Sugar has created such an incredibly artistically rich narrative and, shall we say, universe to play in. From the characters being gems with their own identity, to what "fusing" represents, as well as the breakdown and rebuilding of the different types of typical family dynamics. Steven Universe breaks it all down and gives us something new, something fresh and emphasizes the importance of not being bullied to be something you don't want to be, but the true factor of being cool is to be your truest self, even if that self is weird and you turn your fingers into cat heads.

Jeremy explores the trans-narrative laid out throughout the series, how the characters deal with grief and so much more.

The is a Character WBreakdown episode as Steven from Steven Universe will be one of the many playable characters in WB's Multiversus video game, which pits WB's biggest stars together.
